But the thing is, there are plenty of good things about ATI. Every single one of your posts is either a reply in defense of something else you've said or telling everyone with zero uncertainty that they'll be furloughed. Not a single one of your posts has so much as a shred of the positives. You are 100% right about management's toilet habits, and you may be 100% correct about the likelihood of a new hire being furloughed. If so, I'll be the first to say right here, "yep, ol' HTM was right all along". But there are plenty of folks out there who work at places that are worse, or who aren't working at all, or who are set in life but want something else to do that's really pretty fun and who can handle the risk. If ATI can provide them with an opportunity, there is potential for great stuff to happen.
I've never seen Janet Reno's rack, but I'd guess that they are in fact pretty low. Morale here has been lower, though, yet here we are. People left in droves during worse times. For now, though, most all of our attrition since the rash of furloughs has been due to retirement and recall by majors, plus a few firings. Five captains will retire by December. As for the military run that wasn't renewed for next fiscal year, those things have a habit of lingering for quite some time. We did one run for 9 months after the contract officially ended a few years back. We really do need a courtesy flush with their 767 planning, if there is any. Kalitta's new contract seems pretty good on the surface, so their little victory might help us with our contract. I think most of us are quite willing to continue rolling the bones for the time being.
