Hi Folks:

If any one can tell me something about this, would be great. I have read so many different thoughts , but no one actually says anything .
I sent in my application to ATA on JAN 21st , got a card that says my application is under active consideration on 29th. What does it actually mean. Is it a polite way of saying , don'y call us and we may call you? or Is it a proccess going here? Any good thought and idea is really appriciated.

Thanks in advance,

I don't think there is a hidden meaning there. They are running their screens and figuring out who to call in. I do know they have stopped sending apps out temporarily, but the plan is still to hire 140 this year. The latest crew FCIF indicates they have enough apps on file to fill all newhire classes planned this year. '05 will be another decent year as well.

All I know is that they screen for is hours. It may be adjusted by type of flying. Military or Civil. I don't know anyone in hiring so can't give you any better idea.

They also want to interview folks they think are serious about ATA, not someone who will turn down a class date or leave before IOE.

Yes, the post card simply means what it means, they are reviewing your application. I was in the Oct. 20 class and they explained they are now sending out post cards just to let the applicants know they are looking at their stuff.
good luck.
