I will be heading to the desert next week and I was told that I will riding on a ATA L 1011. Does ATA operates L1011? If so, are the L 1011 a single class configuration or do they have a business / first class section.

Thanks,

SJFLYER

First of all, I thank you for your service!

Secondly. I'm sorry to tell you that our L-1011s are cattle cars but at least they're old.

Thanks again!

Yes it is all coach class but hopefully you will have plenty of room since we are drawing down in the Desert (slathered in sarcasm). While it is not 1st class, it crew will treat you great and it is a pretty nice ride. The L10 Charter side of the house at ATA is by far the best ATA has to offer. Just hope it is not switched and you end up in the 757. Good Luck and take care of yourself.

SJFLYER,

Yes, it all single class seating, but the legroom is a little more than that on our 757s and 737s. If you're interested, ask to visit the cockpit during the refueling/crew change stop. Most of the guys are really friendly, and will be glad to give you a tour. I especially enjoyed doing this.

Thank you for your service to our country. Hope you enjoy the ride.

As mentioned before, ATA offers classless service. Double entendre. The charter side is definitely the best end of the company.
