Flywrite said:So which major is hiring aircraft recognizers? I heard Southwest may be looking for a class, but they dont hire many as they only have one aircraft type to recognize. I know many aircraft recognizers are furloughed. One guy I knew got on at Delta, his dream job, now he recognizes lumber at Home Depot. Another guy I knew got fed up recognizing RJs for peanuts and is now recognizing trucks. He swears he has had it with the industry and claims he will never recognize an airplane again

Just make sure you know what you are getting into. Recognizing airplanes is a brutal business...just brutal.
