A Dornier crew landed just before them and while taxiing in, watched em touchdown about the Foxtrot taxiway on 20L.

I was there when they screwed up. They touched down about 4500 ft down the runway and didn't go around. Serious pilot error. This was a true resume builder.

Was the thunderstorm still on the field too?

If that's true, that is where you would normally be turning off the runway after landing. Hard to believe.
