That goes right along with the long standing program of "Saving Diesel Fuel by Burning Jet Fuel". Drives me batty. They know we are coming, see us coming down the alley, we pull in, and there we sit with an engine idling while they try to get the piece of $hat GPU to start.:uzi:

Ah!!! Two of my pet peeves. More than once it has been suggested that the siege machine be pre-positioned on painted marks to allow the aircraft to taxi up to it in a fashion similar to what we do a most outstations. Apparently it can't be done:eek: .

Another peeve you fail to mention is the haphazard parking of aux ground equipment in the aircraft parking footprint. You taxi up, then have to wait while someone rounds up a tug or two to move whatever it is out of the way. :confused:

Yep. That happens to us too. It's universal pain. ;)
