Aw...give the guy a break. He's got him self a little gig and if he enjoys it and makes a few bucks, more power to him. As long as he doesn't pull a Ted Reed and start trying to twist facts around, let him do his thing. (Shrug)

hahaha, true. At least he was smart enough to retire to something a little more stable (though I can see this getting a little corny). And for that, I wish him well.
 
Wasn't the last USAToday "Ask the Captain" a United scab?
 
Is it cool to still call yourself a captain if you aren't a captain any more?


HAHAHAH....that was my question to him. "If you no longer are employed as a a Captain for an airline, do you still get to call yourself a Captain?"

Really, once I retire, get fired or quit do I still get to call myself a Captain?
 
I believe he has done a lot of good work in the safety arena for alpa over the years. I've seen his name myself many times over the years in alpa's magazine and elsewhere for as many years back as I can remember.

Despite all the cracks related to mergers and binding arbitration from us in the peanut gallery, he seems like a good fit for that column.

What's the deal with so many USAirways pilots having mustaches. Same for ALPA officers.

I've always heard that having facial hair meant you are hiding something.

A hard landing pays the same as a soft landing, we don't hustle for tips like you guys. You guys land soft because you know that you'll be dumping the lav and don't want the blue juice splattered all over your Roper boots.

When we're sitting on the taxiway in CLE waiting for our EDCT for LGA - 75 minutes from now - and I let you use your cell phones, OF COURSE YOUR GRANDMA IN BROOKLYN SAYS THAT THE WEATHER IS FINE!!!! The weather in BROOKLYN is NOT THE ISSUE! NOR IS THE WEATHER OVER LGA! NOR IS THE WEATHER IN PASSAIC! The weather in question, if severe enough, may be over PITTSBURGH F&#@ING PENNSYLVANIA!!!!!!



I commute to work; occasionally, I sit next to someone with legitimate, intelligent, even thought-provoking questions. But usually not.......

I see you've never flown corporate. Ignorance is a bliss. I'll take my $1500 in tips for 4 days of work, and not once had to do more than move 2 bags. BTW- rampers change the blue juice, just as they would at an airline. :beer:
 
that was a classic episode.. on the am talk radio years ago in the ATL they had numerous reports of a car with that plate on it driving on 285.. classic.
