...but aren't we giving out SIC ratings for the elevators now?
An elevator SIC type might be more useful than an airplane SIC type! At least I should be able to get an elevator operator job in NYC with it.

701EV, needed a change and 'tis the season for 3400 lbs. american made machines to go fast and turn left with a couple of right turns throughout the season. God I love mullets!

Speaking of mullets, I think one of the company's attornys is growing one. Yup, McClintock is all business in the front but has a growing party in the back!

Jimmie Johnson is too California for racing. Real drivers are from the midwest, and born there, not like Jeff Gordon!

Now in regards to McClintock, he needs a severe beating and then some!

all i can say is call call call. I would suggest calling even if you ANTICIPATE having the time in the next couple of months.

On a serious note with regards to hiring, I spoke with pilot recruiting yesterday as I had nothing better to do but to hang out at the GO. The word from her was that there are the 3 classes for attrition and that those classes were going to be small, possibly a 4th in May. They wouldn't even drain the pool. That is all she knew as of yesterday morning. But, for those familiar with the land formerly known as "Candler Land" the right hand doesn't always talk to the left.

So why would they not even drain the pool and yet continue to interview?
I don't get that....

You are talking about ASA, there is nothing that this company does that is understandable.

Please, if you guys don't like EWR, CLE, or IAH; let your management know. The last thing you guys need is to fly aircraft out of those lousy places and the last thing we need at CAL is a feeder with the dispatch reliability rate of AMTRAK. Let's all win together and hope that ASA doesn't have to open a IAH, EWR, or CLE base anytime soon. You guys are helping us enough already by contributing to DAL's lost bag #'s and making us look good.

Say what you will about ASA but there is no reason to tarnish the good name of AMTRAK.

Aaaaah, ASA consistantly completes over 99% of their scheduled flights, so I dont know where you get off, or get your info. As far as on-time goes, most of ASA's delays are ATC generated or due to operating in ATL. I'm no apologist, but those comments were a bit out of line.

I was kidding, and don't have a problem with ASA. I was hired there in 98 but went to COEX due to geographical reasons(not that I got based where I wanted for a while). I've got good friends there as well and used to use them for my commute. The operational problems they have always had were not the fault of the pilots but rather some major inept management types and the ATL factor which works against all airlines operating into and out of the A-T-L.

It's more like:

Acey 123? Weren't you Candler yesterday?

And a whole lot of:
"Atlanta, Ca.....Asey 123, blah, blah, blah."

Me, baby....me.

How many people do you think that was excited about clicking on this thread until they found out it was 3 years old?:(

Would be nice to see post like this again at ASA. When will they hire again?

What kind of idiot question is that? We just furloughed, how the hell would anyone know the answer to that question?

Get a life. We've got furloughed guys who probably saw this thread and for a split second, thought they'd keep their job tomorrow, the effective furlough date.
