No. It was most likely a mutually decided upon strategy to use the 'grievance' process. That way, the company keeps our money, MEC leadership stays in management's good graces (free golf), and the line pilots- once again- get hosed.

Pilot operations have a very real effect on the bottom line. While you won't get your money back, they won't get to keep it either.

Ask Brad how the "lowest brake costs in the industry" thing went after the CRJ700 lie fest went. For quite awhile I flew with more than a few Captains who would brake to anti-skid as the TRs came out on a 200. One said "I am gonna show you how to get 7s on the brakes" he did.....every time we landed in DEN. Putting gas out the tailpipe doesn't hurt them, but brakes and other stuff like APU starts come right out of the bottom line. Pilot operations have a very real effect on the bottom line. While you won't get your money back, they won't get to keep it either.
