Also...in the company meetings, Scott Hall specifically said that there would NOT be an LAX base because it would be a nightmare as far as HR and California labor laws. The trips would start and end in ATL. Oh well....so much for that!

Uh-HUH

More coolaid passing at the ASA GO. First order of business this morning was the company backing off the idea the ASA has to be the second from the bottom 'cost' airline at the DCI term specified. Reason being that DCI as it's currently known will cease to exist by that timeframe. Some merged entity will be in place prior to that time. That's merger between DAL and 'an airline to be named in the future'.

Commutair finally got the backing, they're buying Delta and all of their assets. Look for a new crew base in PLB...

Anyone else catch on to the fact that nowhere in the company announcements or Q & A's does it say what aircraft type. We all know the plan was CR2 for the Mexico stuff. The devil is always in the details, or in this case the lack there of. Makes you go hummmmm.

Why do you even listen, or heaven forbid, believe anything that comes out of SH's mouth, or CT, or BL? They don't know anything until either Delta tells them, or JA does. They are just puppets who like to line their pockets while asking employees to take pay cuts. Didn't work though as they've alreday backed off on that, so far.

VOTED IN FAVOR!

I think the letter that went to the F/As specified 200's. But I just read a copy laying around in passing so I could be mistaken.

The reason it didn't go out to pilots like that is because they want dual qualified pilots so they can send anything out there.

Bingo! Send Joey Merchant and his older gf out there I say!

:DThat's fine if they want "Dual Qualified" pilots...just make sure that it is at the NEW 700 RATE!!! Yeah, now that is a company man....RIGHT!!! NOT!

Voted IN FAVOR!!!

Actually this brand of "coolaid" is showing up in other interesting places.

It seems the "prevailing wisdom" is that ASA is going away. It sure would be nice to get some good scope, merger and fragmentation language....

Remember fins, koolaid comes in all flavors/colors!

While you and I agree on virtually nothing, I don't see ASA going away! Your number one priority in negotiations (IMHO) should be fragmentation language, with them shifting some of your assets over to SKYW! That being said, they (SKYW management) are just doing playing hardball out of the airline management playbook! I do wish you guys luck in your negotiations!

Are the airplanes going to be 50's or 70's. If there 50's are you Salt Lake guys ready to take the 10k a year paycut. What about you USCTrojan (K.R.)? Fight ON.

Yes I will bid LAX! I don't know how senior it will go, simply because the top dudes will be taking a 20K paycut by bidding it. I know of a few guys that got hired elsewhere also. I must bid LAX to get off the 70, because of being displaced they will not let me back on the 50 in ATL. I'll take both the moving costs, bid LAX for 6 mo, see how it works out and possibly head back to ATL if the scheds suck in LA. We'll see!

Hey Hollywood, do you have your bid in yet. You can probably hitch all the way to LA.

This is a great sign in my estimation! For once Delta is ACTUALLY dictating what happens here. Every other move that has come from these clowns is we didn't get because Delta said our cost were too high. We all know it was all Baba Striesand! Now there is real direction being passed down by the mother mule. They, BL, SH and CT can not play games with all this by giving and then supposedly taking away. "We lost our LA flying because we weren't competitive enough." I wouldn't bet my stinking whore of a step-sister on them telling the truth.

Just one man's opinion!

My bids in! It will be interesting to see what happens here. I'm looking forward to flying down to Mex. I love the Cabo runs, they're a lot of fun. I do believe Delta is going to make LAX an international gateway and they will need lots of feed for that. I think this one will grow. Skywest, as far as I know, can't do hub flying out of LAX for Delta because of their United contract. Doesn't mean that can't change at anytime. Nothing makes sense around here right now!

Skywest will be doing the Cabo, Mazatlan and Guadulajara runs out of SLC.

Just got a call from my buddy. His wife is applying to the FAA and they need a lot of inspectors in SLC. Why? 57 90 seaters coming to Skywest. Now, he didn't specify if those were going to Skywest Holdings, or Airlines....

Y'all did see that it is going to be day lines, right? So you either move out there and take it in the shorts with COL and the eventual closer after 6 mos., or commute and take it in the shorts because all of your pay is going to hotels. In other words, looks like SOP, TAKEN' IT IN THE SHORTS!

:mad:Well if the company would allow everyone to re-bid, but NO! Just one more thing to SCREW US!! Either way, it is STILL better than ATL. Fire up both engines and start the APU ASAP!!! Yeah....I'll help them save money!

Umm... and a system flush would benefit everyone how, exactly?

That way we could re-bid what our seniority could hold elsewhere. If they are going to continue messing with people's lives with all of this BS, they should atleast allow everyone to re-bid. Atleast those of us that are losing our BASE yet again!:angryfire

Hey, I'm just simply passing on what the Feds are saying and doing out here. Don't believe me, give the local FSDO a call out here, they'll tell you the same thing.

If we had gotten every aircraft that our feds have leaked to us over the years we would be bigger than Delta and United combined. LOL

The only less reliable info comes from our IP's who are always falling for what management tells them in their meetings with the IP's.

Let's get some truth to this. First of all, SkyWest is allowed 15 90 seat aircraft for two years, and they can only hold 76 seats. I guess they can get more than that, but only put 70 seats in the rest of them. How can that be profitable? Easy. They pay their pilots 50 seat wages.

Bye Bye--General Lee

If LAX captian goes junior then maybe Scott Hall can actually win a captian award. Think about it.

Greetings..I would think it would make more sense to delay the closing of SLC until the end of Nov, that way they only need to pay to move SLC folks once instead of twice..At least for the ones that are awarded LAX
