ASA to Hire 24

In November ASA will hire another 24 pilots to be online by January. Anyone know if there will be another upgrade associated with this?

Not sure why. Seems like its slowing down a bit, for now. We could have used these people this summer, not when we decreased 40 lines.

Did you not read the whole thing? They are only hiring to compensate for the extra help they will be receiving by the pilots helping out with the merger. There is no staffing issue.

Yesterday they determined to hire 24 pilots and made calls out this morning to fill the vacancies. I doubt they have made a determination to upgrade additional first officers, but we should hear more by the end of the month.

The letter says that they need the expertese of of our pilots to help with the intigration. Our most expert pilots are Captains! LOL!

I would think they'll be taking mostly Captains to help with the process. I'm putting my money on atleast 10 upgrades! Maybe 17?

Getting rid of the walrus alone would do wonders for morale. Having a spineless pathetic life-fail jerk represent the company is bad news for morale.
