I'm an ASA guy, and I don't want to see Comair lose any of their aircraft. Wise up, they have had enough crap thrown at them from Big D recently, directly or indirectly.

A great airline brought to their knees, largely due to bottom feeder Micky mouse operations such as M**A moving into CVG, and as everyone knows, M**A sucks!

And now its happening to ASA with this stupid bidding for ground handling crap. Only 6 ASA stations left in the running for ground handling, and those are likely to be lost to the lowest (not necessarily the best) "Acme Ground Service" operation the bean counters at DAL can find.

To be honest, this is a very plausable outcome. It appears that DAL/DCI Inc. is setting the stage to minimize OH as much as possible. The last step of creating a DCI holding company for all ground handling is very transparent.
IMHO, I would not be surprised to see those jets show up there. You need at least 25 jets to make a fleet efficient.

We would love to fly them, but there is a little lawsuit and settlement that will make it hard. Remember the Ford-Cooksey settlement? Well look it up. It is the result of what happened about 10 years ago.

I think that the terms of the settlement will give DALPA a headache, they made decide to deal with the headache.

As for LOA 2006-10 I am more than convinced that you had constructive notice of the merger and what both contracts entailed. No surprises here. I think you may have to live with it. I know there was a meeting last Friday, but as far as I know nothing firm happened.

FWIW Joe, that lawsuit and settlement will more than likely cause more harm to this profession than good. It ties a lot of hands, not just DALPA's.
