Now that the bid has gone to...surprise..someone that already flies ERJ's the rhetoric can begin.
BL and the SKYPEST management can start telling everyone that we "would have" got the bid if we had settled our contract and now how if we agree to accept 'much lower' rates then we will get these phantom new planes potentially alloted to DCI with a DAL agreement.....

How's this BL and J---shut it. We truly don't care anymore...you have been too successful at demoralizing us, so successfull that most of us are waaaaay past apathetic and truly don't really give a sheet about this place anymore...gee now how do you negotiate against that?

Nothing would make me happier than to strike and shut America's Sh!ttiest Airline down. Just knowing that our incompetent management would be out of a job would make it all worth while.

Look I understand that mainline pilots could not replace their income if they were on the street, but don't give ASA that much credit. This pay is a joke.

So....how will I pay my mortgage?

And eat?????
I don't know...maybe by the same way that any furloughed pilot from XJT whose flying you took would have paid their mortgage or ate?

It's always about me isn't it?

How many times does it have to be repeated. The flying isn't "ours" or XJet's, it's CAL's. They have the option to have somebody do it for them, and sadly they picked somebody else to do it.

You obviously didn't get the point of that post....but anyway....

Yes, it's called capitalism....and I fully expect ASA to be the next target, and won't cry like a little girl when it happens.

I also won't slither away with bs spin like GL after his precious Junior 73 '200 MEC capt Lee Joke who totally understood the plight of the junior guy, agreed to a sheety TA and sold them down the river liek a good little ALPA boy is supposed to:)

and to quote him....."truth hurts"

Funny, I seem to recall OHPLEASE! saying that it was a done deal that Skywest would get that CAL flying....lets see...

I don't have 100k sitting around, hell I don't have 100k monopoly money. But, if I did, I would put it on it. It's a done deal. ASA may not get all 65 planes worth of flying but, SKYW will and it may be split between ASA and SkyW.
So what happened? Maybe you don't really know quite as much as you think you do, huh? Too bad you didn't have that 100K sitting around.

Who was it that said it was as a sure thing, thats right it was OHPLEASE!SUCKMY... .

I've been saying strike at ASA for months now. I'm sick of this pathetic excuse for a sleazy airline. It's sad. I just don't give a F anymore.

Speak for yourself asshat. Good luck as a wallmart greeter. You have no idea what the rest of the world is like, but if you dont like it - leave. Why are you still here? Screw BL - yeah, that makes sense.

You must be one of our lazy and totally worthless chief pilots. If so you all need to booted back to the line where you have to work for a living. At least he has a skill as a line pilot, I'm not sure if chief pilots have any skills at all they are behind a desk for a reason you know.

redneck - it scares me that you fly airplanes. i guess you would be a better chief pilot, or probably not. to you, being the overachiever you are, anyone who decides to take that job and deal with asshats like yourself is beneath you. when you grow up and have something more than yourself to care about (if that happens) you along with some of the other posters here will stop whining about how bad things are, or move on to better things.

or maybe not...

This place is a joke for an airline. Don't worry my #1 goal in life is to leave this place. Just because you are willing to settle for this pathetic pay and these work rules don't screw the rest of us. I would think you would want something better since you're going to be here for the rest of your career. Then again, it's people like you that allow management to treat us like sh!t. It scares me that you are a pilot here sir.

dont plan on being here forever. just know enough not to blame bl and chief pilots and ja for my shortcomings in life. such a bad palce eh, let me know when you get to paradise how great it is. all of our lives will be better when you start driving a delivery truck. let me know how that works son...

First, I'm not your son. Second, ASA's incompetent management isn't my shortcoming. I wouldn't expect you to understand that.....you are an ASA lifer. I actually feel sorry for you. P.S. Your book sucks too!

I was "enjoying" the soon-to-be-retracted non-revenue perk the other day, and the airplane smelled like someone took a dump in the aisle. Passengers were remarking how bad the airplane smelled. This place has taken on a life of it's own, or rather mimics the lives of the minimum wage rejects who are supposed to be taking care of business. As if they knew how that went....

It's amazing to me that in one paragraph I am pretty confident of which chief pilot you are. Just remember go grow a pair and help out the pilots and that you're in that office for a reason and chances are that it's not a good one. It has nothing to do with whining either, you people have a track record for treating normal lines pilots like dirt and you know it. When was the last time a chief pilot went to the carpet for a pilot over a scheduling issue for example? The only one that would have ever done that is back flying the line. Just remember that if and when we walk, you're out of a job just like we are. Don't pretend to be one of us because it's pretty clear that you're not on our side at all.

Aaaah, my company did not 'take' any of that flying. Sorry. Anyway, all I have seen in my 7 years in the airlines is other company's swooping in and 'taking' flying from me.....so...............

ASA didn't take the CAL flying and that's who 79% works for. TOOL!

CHQ didn't take it either, it was given to them by CAL. Idiot!

Guys, we're arguing with a tool that calls himself "SKIPPER". I feel better just saying that a few times and realizing who i'm bitching too. Just picture disco lights and a fat dude with chaps walking towards you with "SKIPPER" on his leather hat. I'm ok with that.....after all....he's use to taking it in the arse.

That's great if it is his study guide. Take a look at the new order forms in the crewroom, you can get EMB-145 study guides now. HA HA HA, wonder how those orders are going now?

Did the pilots ask for and negotiate this deal?
