No sense in getting into pissing matches. What is going to happen is going to happen and we are not stopping it. Expressjet has some of the most professional pilots out there, and so do we. Lets do this right and get along, show everyone what true professionals we are. We can do it the Delta/NWA way or the USAir way. I chose the Delta way. Nobody is happy about possibly losing some seniority and as long as it stays that way and NOBODY is happy, then it will be fair. We just need to maintain our composures, get along with each other, and ride the ride because arguing is not going to change a darn thing.

And besides, it's going to work out great for all of us, look:

"We are extremely pleased to reach this definitive merger agreement with ExpressJet and look forward to the consummation of the transaction," said Bradford R. Rich, SkyWest, Inc.'s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. "We also look forward to the integration of these two successful airlines and employee work groups and hope to create integration benefits that will solidify the long-term future of each of these airlines in a very competitive industry," he continued.

Oh right...I think you might've misunderstood.

I was only saying that we just went from way understaffed to probably overstaffed.

.

Expressjet is super-understaffed too. Dozens of cancellations last month for lack of crews, I don't see why this merger would make any difference.

Daddy D hasnt furloughed as a result of NWA's buyout. why think the ASa/XJET duo will furlough. give it some time, its way too early in the game. Also, don't forget about other assets that may be on the blocks soon.

Aren't more aircraft coming with the Continental contact extension? I'd hope to see more XJT recalls as a result.

What happens when you 'merge' a seriously understaffed pilot group (XJT) with another understaffed pilot group (ASA)? You have a super-regional airline that is super-understaffed!

Yup. Let the good times roll.
