Rumor has it that ASA is paying 1.5 payrate for pilots to pick up open trips. What happened to needing pay cuts?

Really? There were only 3 trips on opentime for the '50. That ain't alot of uncovered flying.

Thats funny because XJT is doing the same thing. Hopefully a pilot shortage is coming. Who knows.

People are realizing that training costs of 50K-100K for this job isnt worth it anymore.

All ATR trips for CPT and FOs
All SLC FO trips.
All ATL CR7 CPT and FO naps.

ASA...stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime.

When I (CR2 CA) called in sick for a four day last week they told me they only had three res for the next three days, "I said man that sucks, have a good one".

Sounds like a grievance to me. ALL trips, including CRJ200, and ALL positions should get the time and a half!

VOTED IN FAVOR!

Ha ha... now that's funny... I'd love to see the scheduler's face when you said that.

You're not a "team player"

That was a plea by scheduling to be a good worker, help out the company, show some faith, earn some good will, do a favor, repay a favor....

FLY SICK

Endorsed by management!

What a great company ASA is. WHOLLY OWNED BY SKYWEST.

I am? You must be psycho, then.

Me, personally, I'd fly with a fever of 104, double-secret pneumonia, liquid diarrhea, puss-oozing chancres, and pinkeye if it meant pleasing those hard-working, selfless, honest pillars of the company......SCHEDULING.

Then you'd be violating FAR's. You are not supposed to fly when you are physically or mentally unfit. Acute or chronic. Being sick with a fever that high would be deemed acute physical illness. Try that with an FAA inspector and you thought Bob Hoover had problems.

Tell me who hasn't flown sick at this airline? We all have done it.

Many pilots fly sick and save their sick time for personal time. Of course that makes things worse because then they make their coworkers sick.

I think the feds should check you out there slc 150 credit hour boy. Maybe for flying sick and then letting scheduling alter your pairings to keep it under 8 hours. I'm thankful that most of our FO's are are flying safe and legal and working hard to get a new contract, you however are just a different story. I heard you say that you voted no because you want to be a captain, you're a piece of work. Skywest deserves you & I hear they're hiring.

I spoke with a scheduler last week and asked them about the reserve coverage. I was told that they were out, yes OUT of FO reserves on the 700. The scheduler also told me that there job was impossible because of the improper staffing of the airline.

I know most people don't care for scheduling, but I feel bad for them because their jobs are made more difficult thanks to ASA mismanagement as well.
