Some of the ASA schedules are good. I still run into many trips and schedules that are exhausting and sometimes unsafe. Especially with integration I find crew planning putting a nap right before or after a normal long 3 day.

It is obvious they never take into account the human factors and safety when they build some of this stuff. Where the trip falls it falls.

It has been even worse lately because ASA can't run on time. Sure you may have a 9:50 overnight but when done on ASA time, it is more like 8:00.

I experienced this also on reserve, if it is legal it is a go. They never consider the human side of things.

These 5 leg 13:45 hour days with 7.85 hours of flying are BS. You all know how long this day will be in the summer with ASA staffing issues. They must think that every pilot at ASA is a super pilot. Not many pilots will perform at a accurate safe level all day long.

If I'm at work, I want to be getting paid. I would rather do three 7-8 hour days (7-8 hrs blk 12 hr duty) than do two legs and go sit the hotel for another 20 hr layover. I like to fly plane, get paid, go home.

I agree with that, except that it is usually 7 hours block with a 14 hour duty day. We used to have schedules on the ATR that had more airport sit time than they had block time. That is why we need rigs so bad.

Good lord sack up and fly it like you got a pair.

I'm tired
I flew too many legs
A nap followed by a three day... I can't handle the pressure

You disgust me.

I like this Crash Pad guy. I flew 99.48 hours in July. Show me the Moneyyyyy. Show me the Moneyyyyy. oh ya.

Me too! Rigs will help ensure that too. 3 days on the 200 aren't bad, usually 19-21 hours for 3 days, then off for 4 days.

As a commuter, I have to agree with the concept; "once I leave my house, I want the door closed and the clock ticking". I realize that on the other end of the seniority list, there are many who have to take it in the "dropped soap" position. I was there once too. I've received my share of "call scheduling" messages over the radio.

But now I'm with HOSER, a 20 hour 3 day is the way to make a living.

Show me a tooooooool. Show me a toooooooool. oh, yeah.

If a person complains about the crj200 schedules, than they will complain about anything. These schedules are the best this company has ever seen. 16 days off went up to somewhere around line 240 or so. Mostly 3 day trips and very few 4 day trips. Stop complaining about stuff that is good and complain about stuff that is bad like the prolonged contract negotiations.

Sorry dude, I just can't complain about the schedules...if there is one thing great about this job right now, it is the schedules.

...the only thing I'll complain about is there isn't as much "grab-assing" or induced sexual harrassment on the RJ as there was in the ATRah.

J.M. when will you ever learn buddy. Supposedly, this guy let scheduling reduce his days off for the month down to six (against the contract) and potentially accepted jr assignments where the trip time had been altered from the bid packet time / historical data to make it under 8 hours (against the contract and the regs). And hey the best part of it is that he claimed that he voted no on our strike ballot so we would grow and he could become a captain. Show me the money, how about show me an unsafe and unethical pilot.

VPS- beach backyard, lazy river, jacuzzi for 20, Hell'nBack. ASA special: large pizza and a pitcher for 10 bucks. Best overnight ASA ever had.
