Does ASA really even exist anymore?

Why was that uncalled for? They are flying 70 and 76 seat airplanes for 50 seat pay. He was simply pointing it out.
ASA is owned by SkyWest therefore ASA exists in name only. ASA pilots are in essence really SkyWest employees.

ASA is only getting 2 of those. Don't think ASA will EVER get more airplanes. They've made their bed now they have to sleep in it. I would look for them as well as comair to lose all their 70 seat flying to CHQ and Skywest.

You can thank alpa with their greedy contract wants. Managment has tried to compromise but the MEC at ASA doesn't care. They will "fight" till all they have it 50's.

Well, except that the ASA pilots fly a 70 seat aircraft for 70 seat pay and have the ability to stand up for themselves when management violates or re-writes their contract. But, yeah other than that, they are the same thing.

Yeah and now they are losing their A/C and not getting anymore. Also what good are 70 ac when you need 10 years with the company to fly them. a CRJ is a CRJ 200/700 and 900. At Cal the 737 is the same 300/500/700 ect. ASA gets enough pay, if they want more pay then get rid of all the longevity, why someone stays at asa (or any regional) more than 10 years is beyond me. Its a stepping stone not a career

You are an absolute fool. Unless you are Brian Lebreque himself I can not imagine how you can hold opinions of such little worth.

Hey numnuts, you got on at Continental right? Then WTF do you keep coming back here and trash ASA/ALPA? Really now, are you that bored at Continental already that you're stooping down here? What a friggin' loser you are boy!

Tell that to their face *************************-boy, the ones who have over 20 years at ASA. The ones that taught you things. So ungrateful and bitter. I mean c'mon, you've gone to a major. Why waste your 'valuable' time trashing ASA when you could be pulling your pud while sitting reserve at Continental? Loser!

Hmm, just doing a quick search at airlinepilotcentral.com, comparing 5 and 10 year captain rates, the only company that pays less in the 70-seater is Mesa.

Don't blame Rickair for not seeing the obvious...it's really hard to see through the large pitcher of Kool-aid!

Hey Butt Rash,

How do you know this if you aren't here? Don't give us that "Here at Colgan" crap. We don't give a sh1t how you do it there or how you did it in middle school. Its our fight and everyone will benefit from it when it is done. Now, go back to Newark!

Kooter;

I am not even a pilot, nor an airline employee, and I want to kick your ass

Duh Angelo is back!!!!!!!!

After viewing this web board for a few years now, I can honestly say this person (with the possible exception of Duh' Angelo) makes the most foolish comments on the entire board. Repeatedly.

The putz speaks again.

I had Scott Hall in my Recurrent class today, said this is completely false. The things that make you go.. hmmmm

Without reading the last four pages...have we confirmed about the GECAS aircraft yet? If this sheds any light, Comair is getting 3 of them per an "official" Comair memo yesterday. So apparently there are some GECAS a/c somewhere and they are going to somebody. Also, I swear I saw a CRJ in Independence colors fly over on its way to CVG (belly had the blue/white alkaseltzer bubbles). I would have assumed they would have gotten painted first but what can suprise you anymore. A buddy said his buddy...blah,blah said something about 30 GECAS a/c floating around.

He also told us a week before the LAX base was announced that there would not be a crew base there.

I cannot deny that. Just letting you know what was said yesterday, when he showed up in the class. Same ole crap. The union showed up right after he did and well you know the drill by now.

And yet IPs are flying the things from Iberia up to MCN. I believe in ASA colors too, but not sure. SH is a liar. Period. He's pretty smooth in RGT class spreading management's message but is easily seen through. Don't fall for it, and don't vote for the Lynn coalition, which SH thinks would be good for the pilot group. That ought to tell you what Lynn's motivation really is. She has always been for herself and her younger BF Joey, and it's obvious SH/CT/BL have promised her something at the ASA pilot's expense.

Its hard to tell from these exchanges. Are you guys opposed to getting 19 additional airframes on the property?
