I heard that it helps to have a room with a desk during training. For those of you that had one did you get that room initially?...or did you have to negotiate for it later? (Front desk is telling me that all of the rooms w/ desks are already in use for ASA guys)

Had to pimp myself to the front desk to get the fridge & nuker, then sell crack on the 5th floor to get a king suite. Man, it was worth it! That hotel is one fine establishment.

Seriously, just ask them for what you would like, and you'll have it. Bring your own air fresheners.

Yeah, a desk would help if you plan on studying. I never study without a desk. Otherwise your books, pens, protractors wind up under the covers and behind the headboard. Tell them you need a desk, otherwise do the rooms have circular tables?

It's not that things end up under the covers, it's what's ON TOP of the covers you should worry about...

Every room I've been in had a circular table. That did me fine for training. More importantly, get a room with a good nuker and fridge/freezer that will keep your food from going bad.

When I was here for BI, they gave me a "double" room which I promptly trader for a king business room. I just got back from my "vacation," and they gave me the same story you got. I'll try again tomorrow.

DON'T leave anything important out when you leave the room!!!! Things tend to disapear and just because the door is locked, don't think your stuff will be there upon return. The employee's are NOT to be trusted!

I still can't believe I wasn't issued a side arm for protection. There was an armed robbery in broad daylight outside the red roof while I was there last spring. What a hole!

Other than the nasty roof, ASA's training program was very impressive. (unless things have changed) You'll enjoy it, as best you can.

hmmmm...two of the attendants had a mouth full of gold teeth:D ...I thought some prior posts I read about Red Roof were exaggerating but apparently not.

make sure you get a room on the fifth floor, but only after you pass the drug test.
