Are ASA new hires going to training class or getting placed in the pool? Have they emptied the pool with the current 4 running classes? Last I heard there were about 70 in the pool.

If your in that pool.....Get out, towel off, and dive in somewhere else!!!

I just got a call recently for a May 8th class and interviewed in Oct. I just kept doin what all these guys said. I mailed, emailed, and called Pilot Recruiting to let them know I was still interested and checked to see if they recieved all my updated times. No idea how big these classes are.

So anyway.....Are ASA new hires being placed in the pool or getting classes? Last I heard there were about 70 people in the pool and four upcoming classes.

Over 70+ in the pool from what I heard and from what I've read and doing some speculation, it seems to me that all four classes have been filled. I know, not very solid information, but perhaps some others can chime in here.

Latest prelims showed 20 ATL CRJ FO slots. So expect to get that out of training (not really a surprise).

ASA new routes rumour

I recently heard a rumour that ASA is supposedly picking up some new routes from Mesa and they might start flying ERJ's. This could lead to a massive new hiring and quicker upgrades for those already there.

Anyone have anything else on this?

Doesn't make much econmical sense. Mesa is about as cheap as they come and cheap gets more flying. Screwed up world; get a good contract, lose flying and get fujrloughed; get a Mesa contract....... You know the same old story.

Thanks Ninja, that means they are pooling then? I guess that is based on the class sizes. But they are continuing interview though. All speculation of course!
