I wouldn't eat ON the airplane, as gate agents have a nasty habit of just sending pax down.

I have had that happen, and I have sent them right back to the gate.

May I suggest......

1. Don't eat on the plane.

2. Don't ever tell anyone you are waitng on the FA to get lunch. FAs get slammed for this by their supervisors. You will never know about it and will never get a chance to defend them. (Unless your FA is a Beeeaaacchhh. Then let it be known the last time you saw her, she was in a vinyl lazyboy sucking down a frappuchino, cheering on a Springer fight in the lounge.)

I've never flown with a crew that took a lunch break inside. Always eat in the airplane...I don't mind it...but I would love for a Captain to set the tone in his brief and say that when it's time to eat, we're all going inside.
