Question: is the Profit sharing supposed to be taxed at the bonus rate of 40%? My gross check: $321.76 net: $203.99. Ouch. And yes, ALPA took their 1.95% too.
You know I remember my dollar going a lot further and one of my best firends still being alive before Bush got into office... Hmmm... Seems like the Democrats have something good going for them.
Sounds like you need a job down south if that is the check!! John, you and my other ASA brethern deserve much better!!
Cheers-rum
Giving up on Hillary already JP.... now you want to write in Gore.....I know you like him because he invented the internet....and thus he is the man responsible for FlightInfo......Maybe General Lee will support him also......
of course ALPA takes 1.95% of the performance plus. They'll have to have another lunch on us to discuss the e-mail they send out saying there's a performance plus check in our box.
For those of you who are upset about how much ALPA gets from the profit sharing.....make sure you max out your 401k.....that money is not subject to ALPA dues....
You can plan for your retirement and keep some money from going to ALPA.......
Well... the point wasn't to screw ALPA, the point was that I think ALPA is screwing us.
I just heard that the min days off we took 5 years to get...our Reps just gave it back. Pilots can take themselves back to 10 days off and we got nothing in return. No negotiations, just turned it over.
Beautifully Put!!!!I have no problem with ALPA taking 1.95% of the regular pay check, but I do have a problem with them taking 1.95% of everything, including the P+ and the signing bonus.

I don't care if people voluntarily take themselves down to 10 days, just as long as the company can't force us to do this.
I think Joe Merchant had a scenario where he lost money due to the min day clause, and he would've rather kept the flying???????
www you idiot, how is that giving away anything, it is only if a pilot wants to go down, as in make extra money if they want, their decision. what the he$$ is wrong with that. i swear some of you guys are the biggest losers.
Good.....cost me almost 8 hours of pay this month....This is a good thing.....
