ASA would literally have to fly at a loss.... Sounds like a good business model... Plus Airways if any of you knew ANYTHING about scope and USAPAs case on too many large RJ's you would know NOTHING is going to happen..... Seriously how about the 1000 plus Mesa pilots without a job? Grow up....

I guarantee you I've got a whole lot more info and better intell on what the deal at USAirways is than you do..........................Trust me.

ASA is not buying anything, they are owned by skywest. Thats why these rumors are so rediculous.

You are correct. I am however going to ignore the spelling, play devil's advocate and suggest that Skwest Inc may start throwing some more cash around for ASA.

heard on the bus that ASA is paying google ONE MILLION DOLLARS.... to put the new "logo" up for a day.. so the entire world will see we are NOT ASA anymore.

Negative. We'll just loan Airways $100 million at 12% interest and they'll agree to a rate that gives us a decent profit. Cash rules everything, especially when ya got $700 million. Ask United

Again your ignorance is showing. Airways with the E190s going to RAH has now paid RAH in full. They in the last quarter actually took on more unrestricted cash, the good stuff incase you did not know, and are thinking they are doing just fine with the cash stand point. Right now Airways needs no money. More over YOU have no cash. Skywest Inc has a crap load in which it already had before ASA.....

However again you, whom has zero knowledge of the Airways system, have absolutely no clue what happens..... You barely know a little about DAL and my guess is even less about UAL..... But you are right, PSA, AWAC (whom airways would be most likely to give flying to if it were a contract carrier), 9E, ASA, Skywest are all going to gain 900's for USairways. They are going to park all their A330s, A321s, A320s, B757, B767, and E190s and become a stricly RJ/E175 fleet.... And RAH is going to fly the big bad E190 across the pond to Europe to keep the Europeans happy.... (makes about as much sense as you fools overly excited about Mesa pilots, whom are ALPA, going to the street).

Oh yes... I will trust a screen name of JumpersAway off of Flight Info.... Who do you even work for again? ASA? I'll get right on trusting information off of our lovely aviation forums.....

All you're doing is annoying everybody more than you usually do. CLT doesn't even make sense. Skywest will only give us just enough to meet our delta margins.

I disagree completely. Our cost will only decrease if we grow. We won't be a United/Delta only carrier for much longer.

Yeah we all know that. It's the second part of your post that I think is all baseless rumor. The only thing I've heard in the past month that makes good sense is Skywest securing additional 70seat aircraft for DELTA to meet our delta margins. However, iIn the past week I've heard that we're buying comair, not buying comair but buying pieces of comair, buying mesa, not buying mesa but buying their pieces, merging with compass, not merging with compass, and now a CLT base which I'm guessing is USAir territory.

I hope that you and 777forever are right. But coming on here and randomly posting new airlines and bases without any real substance to back it up is pretty sick considering a lot of people's jobs depend on it.

You do realize there won't be any public announcement tomorrow, yes?

Of course not. Did I say there was going to be?

It won't make sense until you get the big picture of what's going on. KCLT for ASA and KPHX for Skywest are coming. It's not a matter of if, its a matter of when.

"when" could be 5 years from now bro. Mesa is more than a freedom contract. Either way, I hope you're right. I just hope your source isn't from the training department or a mechanic.

Why do you hope it is not one of these? I for one hope so. Don't you think they would be among the first to know? I mean with having to prepare the mx department and trng dept for future changes, I certainly think they would know.
