Looks like 2 bases. I hope the next one goes more senior.

I may. It's gonna depend on how many pilots are based there....We'll see. Maybe bid the Summers out of ORD and Winters out of ATL ;-).

Maybe this gives us at XJT a chance at a DEN or SFO base! I'm not counting on it though but we still don't know where or if we are going to have a new base for this UAL flying.

Don't make me kick you @ss again Beavis, you'll bid ORD and stay there!

And take Bama Boy with you too.

Who's going to bid it?

The garden gnome and the Spaniard from DFW so far, the crew lounge political discussions should be pretty interesting. Throw in The Palm and you'll have some real fireworks!

from what I have been hearing, it may go more senior than iad at least on the captain side but who knows till the bids start!!

That will honestly depend on a few things. They could be good if Yonited keeps pure trips where the same company goes into the same place multiple time each day. Probably won't happen though so.... the trips won't be that great. But something to be said for a commute you can drive. I'd take four days and no commuting over awesome three days that are not commutable either end.

Oh well. Maybe they will send the next six aircraft with no work to ORD....

It's not been said firmly that there won't be an ORD base yet, just that it isn't as likely. Just 2 days before that email he told us in recurrent we would have an ORD base-they don't have all the details yet and he says United keeps changing things around a lot.

Doesn't it make more sense to put all our eggs in one basket and just send all the a/c and crews to one place and concentrate on that? After all, they keep saying the importance of things succeeding and running smoothly. Wouldn't it be better to just have everything in one place and go from there? I think it makes more sense for ASA to just use all our resources on IAD for now.
