Finally got the call from ASA with a May 8th class. Anyone else? What are your ages? Anyone heard if this was the last class or if they were running others? Thanks!

May 8th was the last class that they announced but it's entirely possible they will run classes soon after that. Dunno if it's full yet. Good luck.

Classes are "full" until the first day.......they generally have about a 25% no-show rate due to ASA being in such bad shape....people find other, better jobs while waiting to start class.

Now, with Delta about to collapse, the no-show rate should be higher.

Good intel there ganja. The first class last week had one no-show who was replaced that day according to dr. Usually one or two out of twenty dont show. That's about a 5% no-show rate, and I doubt many regionals can beat that. Congrats on class, I think you'll enjoy ASA.

Just remember, ASA is hiring due to the fact that nobody wants to work here, and everyone is bailing. There are rumors of growth, but I wouldnt believe that for a second the way things are now. Good luck with getting on here if that is your goal. Just know what you are getting in to, and what may be in store for you when you get here.

I had a nightmare last night in which I was suspended because I refused to take an airplane that needed a lav service. That is what you have to look forward to.

Interviews resumed on March 8th and will continue on into June for sure. Send your resume to [email protected] if you are interested.
Sent them my stuff a while ago, got the phone screening March 9th, and heard nothing since....

Had a check airman on our jumpseat yeaterday & he said they are training 16 pilots every two weeks for now. When it will end who knows.

Like mentioned earlier in the thread there are some substantial rumors of growth. He gave some pretty interesting examples of things that are happening to back up the rumors, but I also will believe it when it happens.

Report - name the last pilot suspended for not taking an airplane. I come to work - do my job and go home - most of the time I enjoy it. I'm not afraid of getting in trouble and cant remember the last guy that did who didnt deserve it. Just finshed up a three day. Besides one retarded swap it was a great trip. Five different airplanes and not one deferred item all trip. Never even had to wait one minute for a wheel chair or straight-back (never had that happen before) or to park. I know its not always that good but most of the time it works for me. I have delayed flights for paperwork, lav service, catering and even to go to the bathroom and never been questioned.

I think you and 79 need to relax. No one is watching you.

All balls and no brains. How was the ride thru that level 4 Tstorm last week?

Dont know moron - never flown thru one. I have told dispatchers I wasnt going to fly through a line they planned me through. Never got disciplined for that. Been here 10 years - never been disciplined. Been called into a chief pilot office several times for an explaination, after explaining what happened they have never questioned me again.

Guys like you that say crap like that are the kind that should drive buses.

Ooooooooh. Mister Macho! I bet you still have those Ray Ban Aviator glasses. And I'm impressed with the 10 years. Did you get your pin yet?
