Amazing all 3 day trips, commutable both ends, weekends off, and 16 days off. I cant believe it. I couldnt hold anywhere near this nice a line under line bidding.
 
Some winners and some losers are emerging. Let's all say a special prayer for the Reserves tonight. God help them.
 
16 hours less credit for the same 16 days worked in Feb. $1,200 paycut due to crap pairings.

Question. I thought if you set your personal credit limit higher than the minimum, PBS would build it to that, even if it had to add extra trips in somewhere. I set my limit to 80, but got a 72 hour line.

I think this sums it up nicely. More work, less pay. Not bad if you have never held anything better. Sucks for those who used to.

(All with the bonus of practically no open time.)

Got exactly what I wanted schedule wise. Credit sucks, but happy otherwise. I don't think any one will be picking up opentime with the low credit lines. Good luck to the reserves next month!

Anyone notice what they dropped the min credit threshold to? That was nice. I sure hope they will do that to help us out every month we have low credit trips.

(Should have shot for some kind of language requiring that sort of thing with low-block months. But hey, at least it worked this month!)

I believe it was to 65 hrs, at least 200 FO.

If we are below 75 and swap for an amazing 15 hour 4 day out of open time to get different days off, will we get docked the pay for the difference between the trips, or does it stay at MMG for the month?
 
So...management wanted to eliminate "soft pay", and keep credit and block equal to lower costs. Looking at the awards, almost every single of the 400 or so lineholders is blocked to 65-70 hrs. Thus, each pilot is paid 5-8 hrs extra to get to MMG. That is at least 2,000 hours they are paying!

HOW IS THAT COST EFFECTIVE!!!!!!!

I don't think anybody is saying that. I think we are saying the reserves are going to bear the huge brunt of all this, and it will not be fun for them, unfortunately. Reserve sucks enough as it is. Now they will be run more ragged - for min days off and min credit! I feel for them!

Actually I think extensions under 75 hrs is paid only 50% on top of your 75 hrs. At least it used to be.

Actually our friends at ASA alpa "fixed the min day glitch" for reserves. That's right ladies and gentleman got a 1:20 flight to BTR and your trying to break 75 so what. No more min day credit for reserves. Bullsh$t!!

Yeah they did lower the min credit threshold even more. That minimized the schedules with min days off thankfully. Looks like there is not as much outrage as predicted over March schedules. Yeah the credit sucks, but it seems most people got exactly what they wanted. Schedules are much easier too. For Feb I had 5+ legs in a day 7 times. Only one in March and getting paid MMG for 65 hrs of block.

I have a feeling no one will be picking up opentime til they offer 200%. Once again, good luck to the reserves

What so you want, to be able to drop portions of trips, or not? Being able to drop comes with side effects.

Ill never understand why some people don't understand that everything is a balance. It shouldn't cost the company extra money for someone to drop their round trip.

Exactly correct....However you can't use logic or reason with some of these folks when pure uneducated emotion runs their thought process....
 
So the guy that picks up the broken pairing and calls in sick is screwing the reserve guy that gets stuck flying it????
 
So the reserve guy gets stuck paying for someone else to drop their trip. If that res is a call me first guy trying to make it to 75 as quick as possible, he/she is getting screwed.
 
Okay, time for some nerdy perspective...an Intel 486DX (for those old enough to know what that is) can process the entire Encyclopedia Brittanica collection in less that one second.

Fast forward 18 years later to today's computers, there is no reason whatsoever for a 5 day delay to "process" the results. Management, for whatever reason, feels they have to "view and process the results by hand" before the awards are published.

Come on, ALPA, this is the modern day of computers. Who allowed a 5 day grace period in the new contract to allow processing of the results? If it is TRULY seniority-based, then there should be NO human-input on the results. The results of the bidding process should be almost instantaneous. And the awards published within a few minutes.
 
I want my schedule to be right. I'll give up a few extra days of suspense if it means I'll get a better schedule.

You friggin tool. Guess your line is: that's just being on reserve...gotta pay your dues via reserve etc etc. Screw that! While I know that reserve sucks and that's just the nature of the beast (been a SCR commuter now for 4+ years) and that there are parts of is that just suck, this NMD credit crap for reserves is BS. I don't care what kind of trip it is, if you are a reserve and you get called to the airport to do anything its 3.86! PERIOD! I think it's awesome that line holders can drop partials now, but not at the expense of reserves.

If I see this on my schedule/pay it'll be a call to crew scheduling advising them not to assign me anything else until it's corrected.

Between the ******************** schedules, being displaced to the -200 and management's antagonism toward the pilot group...I'm almost ready to quit.

What are you waiting for? Why would you stay? Make a statement and tell management you won't take it anymore...Quit and find someplace that treats you better....Go man...Do It!

Because the potential for it to become, after 6 or 8 more years, much better than this is just too high to walk away from it entirely.

Why are you gloating and taking delight in the ********************ty situation a lot of us pilots (presumably junior to you) are finding ourselves in?

Save me the pity story....I worked under far worse rules for a far worse management team than we have now...You have no idea what it used to be like here. This management team is IMO, the best in the regional business and they are trying to keep us profitable. For the first time ever, we aren't making a profit because of the new resets.

If you aren't happy here, then you need to find a place that makes you happy. Reserve and being junior sucks everywhere...Go to airlinepilotcentral.com and listen to the junior Delta pilots on reserve...They aren't happy either.

I don't take delight in anyone being in a bad situation, but growing our way out of this is your only real hope...or quiting...Your choice...

Must be a regional lifer. If not you sound like you should be in management.
