Wow, that didn't take long to post. I can't believe the Jackson 5 got all four candidates in there. If they win, we're screwed.

Actually, it's not a surprise. They've only been nominated to appear on the ballet. Actually winning will be another thing.

Let's hope... name recognition got Breiling in there as our 112 Sec/Trez.

I think you must have made a typo. I think you meant:

Captain rep nominees:
1) Nick Tomlin
2) Danny Utley
3) John Breiling/Scott Hall/Charlie Tutt
4) John Breiling/Scott Hall/Charlie Tutt

FO Rep nominees:
1) Seth Heckard
2) Mike Schnorr

Just say NOto a figurehead LEC that is the mouthpiece of management and management wannabes.

Well, I'll be voting for experience. I know Tomlin has had an integral role with the strike committee. I see those guys in the crew lounge all the time answering tough questions from the pilots. I know Utley was pretty well respected as the captain rep out in SLC. Heckard is on the grievance committee. I just dont know much about the other FO's on the ballot.

I also know Lynn carries alot of baggage with her former experience in ALPA. As for the rest of the coalition I am not aware of any ALPA experience at all. I'm not leaving the fate of my contract in the hands of inexperience.

Jackson, Lee, Welsh, Bowie have a management endorsement. Need I say more?

I don't know any of em'.

You don't know any of the coalition or any of them at all? If you havent heard of Tomlin or Utley I doubt you are an ASA pilot.

If its merely the coalition that you havent heard of have no fear. I'm sure SH and CT will be touting them in your next RGT class.

I did not say that I have not heard of them I said I just do not know them personally. I have seen their pictures posted up in the lounge and in the halls.
I guess I should have been more clear in my prior post.

Congrats, Lynn and Co.

Celebration at my place once you are elected!

 Tomlin and Utley are Stand-Up guys. They have been busting their butts this whole time. Either one will do a GREAT JOB for our Pilot group. The "Dud-Four" need to be beaten to within an inch of their lives. Nothing but mgmnt lapdogs!

more proof that you few idiots who have your pulse on things are way off. the lynn coalition has a lot of steam behind it now. granted the brian wilson thing was silly. more and more pilots i fly with want change, not the status quo some of you speak of that has gotten us nowhere. spend 5 minutes in the lounge and you will see many are willing to give new leadership a chance since our current lack of it is taking a toll.

The only lack of leadership I see is on the management side.

This sounds like the kind of spin a campaign puts out when its candidate is trailing by 30 points in the polls. "We have momentum"! "People are buzzing about us"! "People want change"!

Chuck,

It's not nice to call people idiots, just because you have a mangagment agenda! Of course you support L.J., she is your best girlfriend! Her day has come and gone. She serves her on self interest. Anyone that has been around knows what she is all about. Her selection in boyfriends says it all. Chuck, birds of a feather. flock together!

She got about 50 votes in the last election. She may get 60 this time, only because she has drawn some innocent, naieve pilots into her Coalition (with a secret agenda tied to Joey Merchant's Coalition.) These poor fellows helped her get nominated, she could not have done it on her own. Chuck, the Truth always wins out!

Stick to your Chief Pilot duties and keep your nose out of Union business!

Sincerely,

One who is watching closely

give new leadership a chance since our current lack of it is taking a toll.

I got some news for ya fellow! LJ is not NEW leadership! She has had her turn in ALPA roles and has screwed them up. It's time for her to get back in the kitchen...oh wait, she doesn't know how to cook, food that is, not the books which she is good at! Maybe boytoy will buy her a burger.

VOTED IN FAVOR!
paid for by the vote no to lj's coalition committee

Hear you get alot of steam behind you Chuckie!

VOTED IN FAVOR!
PAID FOR BY THE VOTE NO TO LJ'S COALITION COMMITTEE

Heard Chuck was the most polite guy in the Midtown bars. He pushes in everyone's... !

Wasn't it Slick Willy that finished 3rd in a primary and pronounced himself "The Comeback Kid"?

The only path the Jackson 5 will lead us down is the Styx River!

The more you guys bash this group of fellow pilots, the more I think that there is merit to an MEC change.

Here's an idea. Let's not talk about the issues. Let's sling mug, name call, and make inflamatory statements about people. In addition, let's do it behind a screen name on a public forum so that no one will know who we are.

OK, smart guy. Give us 500 words or less on why we SHOULD vote for the Jackson 5. Without slinging mud or bashing the current leadership.

"Smart guy?" .........I guess the name calling will continue.

For the record I support our MEC. They have done exactly what we've asked them to do.

My point is that everytime someone gets on this board and slanders someone who's trying to be part of an answer to a problem, they only make themselves look like a fool and add fuel to the fire that says our leadership has to go.

How's that? And it's even under 500 words.

Your Fraternal Brothers are just relieved that you missed the cut.

first and maybe most importantly they will reach an agreement in a timely manner. That agreement will include provisions to stop the flow of "our" aircraft to "them". It will include provisions to allow us to increase our income by being more productive while we're at work. It will build on the items already TA'd and get this thing done so that we can all move on.

The longer our current MEC/LEC/CNC drags this thing out, the more assets and opportunities we are going to let slip away. I'm not advocating that we should take pay cuts and the company isn't asking us to take one. The increase in hourly wage can and will go a little higher but, not 10%. It'll go slightly higher than it is now and be augmented by profit sharing (not perfplus). The middle ground is there and must be met on sooner rather than later.

There are many ways to attain an agreement that will suit us and the company. You only need to look across the street to see a pretty good example of negotiating an agreement that allows the company to move forward and rewards the pilot group for that forward movement (growth). The Delta agreement may not have been exactly what the pilots wanted to see but, they gave some now and will receive much in return and as Delta becomes stronger they will negotiate again and recapture those things they lost. Sooner or later they will again be at the top of the heap. You don't have to believe it but, watch the next 3-5 yrs. and remember I told you so.

We need leadership in OUR ALPA office that can and will open dialog with the company and settle this thing in a fair and equitable way for both sides and get this thing back on track like the Delta MEC/LEC/CNC has done.

but thats just my opinion and thats why I'll be voting for them. cheers

And how exactly will they accomplish this lofty goal? Anyone can make campaign promises. What you need to listen for are ideas on how to accomplish those promises.
