The workshop is specifically designed to cover the Legacy ASA JP Morgan 401k plan. Materials will be provided to help you determine how much you need to save for retirement, how to choose the best mutual funds, asset allocation and diversification, and many other critical retirement planning topics.

Skywest Stock Downgraded

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/skywest-shares-fall-raymond-james-202103424.html

Is Skywest stock in your 401k plan? We do not recommend non management employees invest in the same company that sends them a paycheck. For several reasons:

1. Airlines have historically been bad investments.
2. If you are furloughed, the stock is probably tanking as well. Now your out of a job and your 401k is down more than necessary.

If you insist... put no more than 10% of your portfolio in the stock.

See you at the ASA retirement workshop!

Don't forget to cover how to roll over your SkyWest Inc. 401k. That's going to be important when this place "Comairs" soon. I give it about a year and a half, just up to the Delta rate reset. Either we will be out of business, or this place will be so horrid, nobody will want to stay here with our "adjusted" compensation and scheduling section to compete with PNCL and GoJet.

Is there ever any good news here? Bedford isn't afraid to go out and get this flying but somehow at ASA it's going to be the pilots' fault.

Remember, it doesn't matter how we got here.

only if we vote for concessions right, and hopefully we don't

It doesn't matter whether you vote for concessions or not, it's going to happen anyway. One way or the other.

If we don't vote on concessions, they will be forced on us by a mediator, or by a BK judge.

Also, if we don't vote on them, we will shrink as we continue to get left out in the cold due to our costs. DAL won't pay us enough to cover our costs per block hour, and the others won't give us business because we cost too much, compared to our "pier" airlines.

well that ought to make JennyLeigh do cartwheels if she can get her fat ass out of the basement
