Stifler's Mom said:Just a rumor I heard in the crewroom and since there isn't much going on flightinfo tonight here it is.
ASA F/A Training Dept. is getting ready to train flight attendants on a 2 cabin configuration.
utahpilot said:freshest from the rumour mill....
the forthcoming 22 aircraft to SW Inc. will be mostly 900s.
900s will go to ASA in ATL, and their pilots will eventually all be based there. Delta needs the larger feed there.
current ASA 700 flying in SLC will be gradually moved to the SW side of the SW Inc. house.
anyway, that's the newest bit I heard....
General Lee said:That's funny, we still have a scope limit of 70 seats. Has that changed? There has been no agreement. I heard though that you are getting VIP 767s for Jerry Atkin and his managment team. They have to do something with their profits---rather than pay you guys an extra $5 an hour for your CR7s...

General Lee said:Well, since Delta WANTS 200 79 seaters, that would be the CRJ-705, which supposedly has 70 coach and 9 first class. (?) I am sure they want to train people on that. I don't know what Dalpa is exactly negotiating, but I think we are against it. I remember the DL lawyer saying that they would only put 70 seats on them if they had to, including some first class seats. So, anything is possible I guess.
Bye Bye--General Lee
~~~^~~~ said:The - 900 was a decent rumor, but facts are that ASA's scheduled 70 seaters have already been diverted to SLC where SKYW crews are going through differences training.
CFIT said:The only differences training required will be for the flight attendants because of a different cabin layout, mainly two lavs.
Smacktard said:70's already hav 2 lavs.
CFIT said:Our 70's for United only have one.
Smacktard said:All 35 (I think that's the number) at ASA have 2. That or I've been pissing in the front closet all this time...!
Pardon the ignorance, but are instructor pilots the ones who operate the sims or are they the ones that do IOE (i.e. LCA)?~~~^~~~ said:The - 900 was a decent rumor, but facts are that ASA's scheduled 70 seaters have already been diverted to SLC where SKYW crews are going through differences training. ASA's IP's were told to bid lines, since no new hiring training is on the horizon, and they mostly came over and knocked me down about 20 numbers for bidding.
