Just so I understand, we got duty rigs, but not trip rigs, then? I thought we had both.

If that's the case it's of much less value. All it will do is eliminate the 3 hour "airport appreciation" breaks. And it will be good for ready reserves.

We got duty rigs and min day.... the min. day is our "trip rig".... They aren't the panacea that some seem to be thinking they are....

The min day is 3.75 hours. It will be hard to schedule less than that even with two legs. I guess 4 day trips are here the stay. :(

Yeah. Now we can count on 4 days that start at 8am on the first day and end at 8pm on the last day.

Exactly...... sometimes the "law of unintended consequences" can be a B!tch....

As long as you schedule at least 3.75 hours of flying each day, unproductive 4 days will be cheaper than some 3 days for the company...

Playing on the confusion of what a trip rig vs a duty rig was.

I'm bored, bear with me.

Male announcer: The white zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There is no stopping in a red zone.
Female announcer: The white zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There is no stopping in a red zone.

Female announcer: No, the white zone is for loading. Now, there is no stopping in a RED zone.
Male announcer: The red zone has always been for loading.
Female announcer: Don't you tell me which zone is for loading, and which zone is for unloading.

Amazing how many people demanded "trip and duty rigs", without understanding them....

What kind of schedules do you think this new contract will create?
Naps?

I am a napper...have a feeling nap lines will go away or way down. A 1:2 rig with an extra hour for 12 hours of duty - nap lines could be valued at 85 -100 hrs.

What schedules will work best (from a financial standpoint) for the company?

Line 374 on the crj would pay 102 hours approx. 12 days off.

Line 345 would pay 91 hours approx with 12 days off.

Line 334 would pay 75 hours, credit is only 70.50.

Since most naps crews run 5 hours under, 80 hours pay, I would guess the increase in hotel cost would be greater than ending CDOs.
