The latest vacancy bid had an effective date of this fall. They are not putting people in training during the latter months of the summer to then displace them in the fall. CT has stated no displacements are expected from the loss of 200s. United and Airways are hiring indefinitely. When Delta and American start this fall we will see a return to the 2006-2007 level of attrition (30 a month on the ASA side)

Thanks for all of the responses.

What are the bases a newhire can expect? I gather from the replies that ATL is now a senior base?

The base seniority is a little divided, depending on FO or CA.
CA: ATL, DFW, DTW, IAD (senior to junior).
FO: ATL, DTW, IAD, DFW (senior to junior).

The 200's are based at ATL, IAD, and DFW.
The 700/900's are based at ATL, DTW.

A new hire can probably expect IAD or DFW.
