What's up with crews not turning in the Flight Logs? It seems lately that every time I fly I'm turning in 2 or 3 days worth of these things. This is how we get paid, you know. It's not that hard to walk them in. Just another thing to complain about here-carry on.

write up the last FO on the flight log. the 2nd write-up is a visit with the chief pilot. that should get it cleared up quickly.

I've followed 2 VERY senior fo's on the 50 in the past 3 weeks that had neither turned in the logs nor picked up the cockpit.

Picking up is my biggest complaint. How hard is it to cross the seat belts and throw out your trash? It takes an extra three seconds and then you still have plenty of time to sit and stare out the window while pax deplane.

I understand the flight logs. I've forgotten a time or two but I started putting them on top of everything so when I block in, I take it out and put it on top of the flight kit.

Speaking of seat belts, attention new CR7 FOs:

You've probably heard how crabby 'ol Beal can be (if you don't know who I'm talking about ask). A good way to make friends with him is to get him an extender ahead of time and leave it neatly folded on his seat. He really appreciates this.

So you're the guy who keeps crossing the seatbelts...

Please explain that to me. When I come out to an airplane, I sit down in my seat directly on top of your pretty crossed seat belts. I then have to do some sort of backwards leaning handstand to get your seat belts out from under me, then I throw them where they are supposed to be on the side of the seat.

Amazingly they stay where put for the entire time and I sit there with confidence that I can reach down and put them on when I need them.

All nap crews pick up a newspaper to leave in the cockpit whether they want to read it or not.

I kinda like my seat belt crossed. That way I don't have to pry the ends out of the seat track/lever in order to put my seat belt on. I think the thing is to just leave the flight deck as neat as possible for the next guy. How things are arranged is a matter of preference and you're never gonna please everybody.
