We don't need any more pilots representing us. We need Lawyers.

How will lawyers be different? The truth of the matter is lawyers have been representing you all along....they are ALPA lawyers and they set the agenda whether you like it or not.....

Uh, ever heard of PBS?

I wouldn't call that "doing something for the pilots". We went backwards in some work rules due to that agreement, especially with reserves.

Years ago, I complained about the lack of communication from the union. I was asked "why don't you step up and volunteer instead of complaining?"

I answered "I'd be happy to! what can I do to help?"

I was told THEN AND THERE "Well, we don't have any available spots on that committee"

Good tactics

That's pretty much what happened to me when I volunteered.

Well, in fairness, many people want to be on the Safety, Hotel, or Scheduling committee. Most are interested only so they can go to one or two meetings and then put it on their resume. The MEC can't have a committee of 50 people doing nothing, and I'm sure that's why you were sent away.

There are a few committees that are either unfilled, or have only one or two members. Pick those out to get started. Once everybody sees you doing good work, then you can probably get on the committee you really want to be on. Keep bugging them. Persistence counts, and somebody who is persistent usually gets what they are after.

Or, just run for office. Two of the MEC positions and two of the LEC 113 positions went to people who ran unopposed.

Unbelievable. I'm glad you apathetic pieces of crap got displaced to IAD. I don't want to hear any of you complain about ALPA since you let 2 new MEC members in unopposed.

you're so full of ********************, your eyes are oozing brown goo!

Reminds me of a good joke I heard: How do you find Auburn from Tuscaloosa?

Head South till you smell it,

Turn left till you step in it...
