So it’s been about a month since the NMB said no more the ALPAs foolishness and unrealistic demands. Now what? What is ALPA doing to try and get this contract signed? Other than wanting to strike away the futures of pilots have they made any attempt to try and resolve the issue?

There probably is no short term fix that you would like, but long term, you might want to think about electing candidates to public office who are more pro-labor and support collective bargaining. With the current Administration in power, I very much doubt that the NMB is eager to release you for self help.

I would suggest that instead of just asking ALPA "what are you doing to try and get this contract signed", you might consider asking, what can I do to make this entire process more labor friendly to begin with? I would suggest as a first step that you support ALPA-PAC.

As it has been said before, paycuts are a last resort for a company that has exhausted all other options. ASA has not done that.

Then follow the instructions in the e-mail. There is not a limit to how many people can be connected to the conference call. There will obviously be a limit on how many questions can be asked, but not on how many can listen in.

The you need to follow the further instructions on what to do if you have trouble connecting, by calling ALPA and talking to the extension listed. They should be able to assist you in getting through. I would also start about 10 to 15 minutes before the start time, and wait on hold until it starts.

Don't forget you don't have an income when you walk, you make it sound like it is a party. If you work in the G/O and get paid 60k a year you can go get another job that makes 60k at year some place else. If you are a pilot that makes 60k a year you can go get another job that makes 19k a year. Who is the dumbass for wanting to strike no matter what the cost is to make a point?

Well smarty boy, ever stop to think that we're prepared? Some have a business on the side, other parttime jobs that will evolve into a well-paying fulltime job, savings to cover living expenses for 6-12 months, etc etc. Listen, no one wants to actually walk out. But, I've been here over 20 years and this is the worse I've ever seen it. Have you ever thought about why just the pilots? Why not ALL the ASA employees? Why does BL get 800K in stock options? What the hell has he actually done? What will CT get if he's sucessful at bending over the pilots? Why does a Chief Pilot like K & CC make 110K? Why not cut their pay. Why not eliminate the useless Dep Coord? Why doesn't JA combine all the dual functions at ASA and Skywest? And if the pilots were to accept cuts, management will be back soon with another round, ala CMR. And, I don't mean to make it sound like a party. Just like to rattle and challenge those mgt clowns who come on here. Strike ballots are on the way regardless, and mine will YES.
