ASA Deadheading

Yup, I have a DHD today, in T-8 hours and I still am not booked PS on TravelNet. Gotta love our Reactive, not Proactive approach to scheduling.

So who is more important on a holiday weekend? The paying public or an asa pilot going home.

Who cares, just show up to the airport and if you are not listed wait till the flight is almost done boarding then call.

That is there job to worry about, not yours !! Just relax and laugh when they are scrambling after you miss the flight.

Yeah, the biggest problem is freedom leg DHDs. I doubt scheduling scrambles if you miss that flight. Hard to relax when your time is being wasted by their incompetence.

Both.... remember that ASA pilot just flew hundreds of people to their destinations for the previous 4-days.

Sounds like a MEM base can't come quick enough for all involved.

Yep. A MEM base is needed. Alot of dead heading crews betweeen ATL and MEM. Bumping paying pax out of a seat.

I can understand complaints about deadheading home, but why all the complaining about deadheading on the first leg to MEM or DTW or IAD etc. I love deadheading. 100% pay to relax, sleep, or read. Same pay for less work. It artificially bumps up credit on trips

I hate how the gate agents treat us. Yes, we take overhead space. But, alas, there is a better way...

Probably won't be MEM residents but commuters from points west, especially the DFW area who will bid for the base.
