I just read some disturbing rumors on the other message board about Anderson's dislike of ASA. He said ASA was last in the DCI portfolio and would like to get rid of us ASAP. No future growth for us, only Skywest/Pinnacle/Republic.

This does not fit with all the "RAH RAH, Delta loves us and we are doing GREAT!" operations updates we get every week. Which is it?

I don't put a lot of stock in most rumors, but I know one of the insiders who heard Anderson personally and consider him trustworthy.

Well, which is it? Our mgmt tells us everything is OK, a trusted (by me) source says otherwise.

On another note. Did Delta find out about bumping Delta pax to DH our crewmembers to do United flying? Brilliant ASA scheduling dept. BRILLIANT!

Well, ASA has consistently beaten the Delta goals month after month! Therefore since a contract is in force, and ASA meets or exceeds the goals therein, I don't see how there is a problem.
I don't think any airline could do better at the world's busiest airport.

I'll be in the left seat at American before Delta is able to cancel the ASA contract!

We are not the second lowest cost carrier....are we?

I don't think Delta should be pointing fingers. I saw the ranking when it came out last week, and the bottom 5 airlines listed were all associated with DL:

Skywest
DELTA
Somebody
Comair
ASA

So they can't be upset with DCI, as long as mainline ranks right in the middle.

Of all of our competitors, we are the only one that does like 90% of the DCI flying out of ATL--the busiest airport in the world--with their (delta's) sh## rampers and sh## gate agents. We can only work with the tools we're given.

That and we're staffed poorly so we are cancelling flights.

1 whole flight cancelled (mx) today and there were 0 yesterday. We are not canceling flights due to staffing.

So Delta has added yet another feeder airline? Where is this one based at?

It is an absolute WONDER to me that airlines operate at all out of ATL, much less 'efficiently' or 'on time'.

Aru you F'in kidding?

Skywest maybe?

Pinnacle...lets see contract unrest, 900 contract was alrerady threated to be cancelled one, bottom third of Delta performance ratings, basically out of MSP,getting hammered in MEM by ASA departures, and the biggest tell tale sign...increasing east coast flying...just ask Freedom how that worked out for them?

Republic...The writting is on the wall for them, buy two national airlines with their own Marketing, reservations, and route authority departments all ready inplace...hmm you think Delta going to keep supplying the bullets to their compatition?

The fact remains that ASA is on the bottom of performance rankings. Of course, they have been for years and DL has never cared. 15 years ago there was business express, 30 years ago Delta did flying in turbo props, 15 years from now - who knows! As long as ASA flies 90's for the current pay rate, I'm sure DL will get over any performance issues very fast - they can't fly the planes themselves for that price.

Why does it matter what the atlantic southest performance is? Skywest will continue to bribe for future contracts like they did last time, instead of using that cash to pay their people a decent wage. The better you guys do though, the less they have to pay so do good.

ASA was the worst performer for baggage handling. We dont even handle our own baggage anymore in Atlanta.

Write your congressman! The airline that last flies said piece of luggage takes credit for the baggage blunder. It makes absolutely no difference who physically picks the bag up and puts it in the cargo hold or takes it out. That is how the number is generated, as mandated by the DOT.

Were the rankings adjusted for ATC and WX? I was under the impression that performance numbers were adjusted for these factors before being held to contract language? Or am I wrong?
