Ha, I did one of those about a month ago, fun times! I would agree with the clusterfudge comment too.
Scheduled to leave at 7 a.m. but you don't get in the air until 8 because you have to wait half an hour for your gen decs and an hour for fuel at the MX hanger. Fly to SLW and hope that the weather is VFR or you are well versed in the art of flying DME arcs green needles. After arrival at SLW taxi to one side of the airport to have the plane "inspected" and the galley raided by customs. After the pillaging you will then taxi the plane across the airport to clear immigration at the the paint shop where a van (and hopefully someone to drive that van) will be waiting for you.
Look out here comes the fun part!
You will now have the opportunity to take that dream vacation you've always wished for but could never afford, an all expense paid scenic tour of the best that Mexico has to offer. Slums creeping up the side of majestic mountains? You got 'em! Clogged streets filled with smog -belching VW Beetle taxis? You came to the right place! After taking in wonderous sights such as these for an hour and a half the van will then deposit you (completely satisfied and thoroughly awestruck) at the Monterrey airport where, if your fortunate, you will catch the last flight back to ATL. (Don't be late, the flight WILL NOT be held for you!)
Follow all this up with 2:40 of climate-controlled comfort on of out sleek (less than) new Canadair Regional Jets and you would have to agree that this is an assignment any line pilot would give their left, uhhhh, arm for!
