Okay, I am still learning the art of bidding. Specifically, bidding to maximize my vacation.

Question - Are LOFT/PC bids based on senority?

I actually got my second choice of schedules for the month. It was the perfect nap line that would give me (with my vac days) 15 days straight.

I also bid for my loft...hoping to have 1 or 2 more naps dropped. My LOFT was conviently placed right in the middle of that long stretch of days off.

Is that just the way the senority fell? Or was that hand placed to keep them from dropping another nap off my schedule? What are the chances of the LOFT dates I bid actually going senoir?

They also loaded me up on my integration day. But I guess that is fair game since it was an integration day.

Sad part = my original line was 37 hours. After my week of vacation, I am 30 hours + a LOFT. I guess the company is the one who really maximized my vacation time!!!!!

When you bid on your loft, did you bid 3 choices?
ie. 6th, 18th, 23rd. If so, did you get one of those 3 choices?
My understanding is they are awarded according to senority, based off of your order of dates (6th.......)

For what it's worth, I have always received my first choice in bidding for LOFTs/PCs. When I was on reserve/relief I never bothered bidding, because I knew it would just get stuck somewhere where it was convenient for scheduling.

Yes, they are seniority based. Did you fill out the loft/pc bid sheet for every line you bid? In other words, if you bid 100 lines, you have to bid 100 loft/pc days (x 3, because you get three bids per line). So if you bid 100 lines, you should bid 300 pc bids, or three per line. If you bid 100 lines and just bid the first line of three chioces, that only counts for one line.
