If they spread everyone out, then everyone is in position to cover when Freedom is finally gone and, technically, no one can refuse routes as "flying struck work" if one of the DCI carriers strike. They will, in essence, be routes your company is already flying. Move a little ASQ to SLC & DTW, move some SKW to MSP, move a few MES to JFK & ATL... and they're covered. Right or wrong, it's pretty genius.

LMAO Wally! Hey, if ASA is still in SLC in the fall, why don't you come up to the casa and watch USC beat the crap out of Notre Dame ;-).

I figured Mesaba would want to realign themselves up North. I'm hoping ASA can fill in since it's all Inc.'s pocket anyways. Good to hear. I haven't heard one complaint from any crewmembers about flying out West. I'm sure there are a few however!!!

Bingo! Exactly what is happening right now. Shuffle everyone so that nobody has unique flying and there's no way to claim struck work. And as for flying out west, I enjoy the flying there, just not the trip to get there and back. 3+ hours in anything Bombardier built is just too long.

Makes me wonder though, if ASA is doing some West Coast flying and ATL base for SKYW is closing are we (Skywest Inc. ASA & Skywest) still gonna be able to hold 80% ATL DL Conx flying?

The base is closing but Skywest will still fly into ATL.

The ATL base is closing so Skywest can concentrate on the new MSP base.

It will be interesting to see if this prophecy comes true. You mentioned earlier that an announcement would come on the 11th. That's a Thursday, but nothing big gets announced midweek. It is always after 5:00 on Friday, or on a Monday morning.

Umm, yeah, the 11th is SkyW earnings call... it's news, and it should be good, but it's certainly not big...
