there has been NO formal WRITTEN request for trip/duty rigs. I don't need to talk to our useless P2P persons to know that. If I'm wrong, show me the document. Otherwise STFU!

ohplease, go to the ALPA site and you can find the remaining open items. ASA ALPA has proposed duty/trip rigs, and a minimum day. The company responded with no minimum day pay, nor any duty/trip rigs.

Hoser
P2P (but useless)
Roll Tide! :)

Ok, I'll STFU. You apparently won't let the facts get in the way of your opinion.

Sorry for trying to point you in the right direction to get accurate info.

Hey OhPlease, here's your document. STFU!!!!!!!!

What you gotta say now? But I'm a useless P2P, what do I know?

And this pilot expresses that an agreement will have to be reached without any type of paycut.

Jerry Atkin is not nearly as smart as I thought he was if he thinks he can blackmail us with loss of jets. If I have nothing to look forward to I have absolutely nothing to lose by shutting this place down.

VOTE YES, encourage and support those you fly with to do the right thing. Park this airline.

:laugh:NICE Go Around!! Hey... Oh Cheese....WHERE is your reply? Yeah, that's what I thought, you mgmnt lacky!! You are such a guttless wonder, I can't believe it. Maybe you are flapping your gums sooooo much (due to the fact that you like hearing your own voice), that your breath keeps fogging up the screen on you computer. It's okay, admit that you don't know what you are talking about and STFU!! Even the GL admits when he has had to EAT his own shoe a time or two!

Coop, I agree with what you said. We should be able to do all of that and NOT take a paycut. I am sick and tired of this company showing how much money they make and not wanting to let the employee's in on ANY of it!!! We are suppose to be Professional Pilots and yet our company treats us just like we are in highschool. Unbelievable!! If they think that this pilot group is going to roll over, they have another thing coming! Bring ON the STRIKE VOTE BABY!!!!

Can anyone tell us how many regionals have trip and duty rigs? How many Delta Connection Carriers have rigs? Does everyone understand that even United has given up most of their rigs?

Now Joe, YOU KnOW that a rig is actually a zero cost item for the company, as long as they build us effecient schedules. If the schedule is built correctly a rig will NEVER kick in. This issue is about CONTROL of the pilots. The company wamts to continue to fly you 1 leg out to CSG and stick you in a hotel for 20 hours. I am personally sick of that. The rigs we are asking for are not a moneymaker for us, they are simply a way to insure that we work when we come to the airport.

Seems that, yet again, Oh Please has crawled back under his rock after being b!tch-slapped by the facts. Ahhhhh, it just never gets old.

- A "worthless" P2P rep

Comair and Air Wisconsin are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. SkyWest may have rigs too, and I know they have a minimum day provision.

United was in Ch. 11 and sacrifices had to be made. We are not, in fact we are the most profitible regional airline, and we have nothing to do with United.

:rolleyes:73plt, you are dangerously close to be called a "Stocker" of fins. I mean, every post he makes, you bring up the RJDC! Let it go! Just LET IT GO!

Is a strike vote scheduled??

Forgive me for asking if it has been posted before, has the ASA pilot group been surveyed about putting up a strike vote? If so, are the pilots released to strike?

Yes they have been polled, and no we have not been released as of yet.

Strike ballots will be out around the 15 of June.....you will then have 15 days to vote. The results are tallied on the 10th of each month so around the 10th of July we should get the results.

Met a relief captain on the bus the other day. He works every day June 1-5. Thing is he works 1 roundtrip every day, thats it. A 1 hour commute and only has 10 days off though!! Efficient scheduling at its best. We need min days!!

"we can't let these lazy pilots have too may days off"

You are not well informed. Go call a p2p and get your facts straight.

What's with this call your P2P crap. Put the information out there - what is there to hide? Pretty soon we will have to have a decoder ring to get information.

2. i got a blastmail from our mec quite a while ago, notifying us the strike was over.. good question, though, i don't remember seeing one from national.

I never got one from the MEC telling us the strike was over and I never got one from ALPA national. I searched the internet and couldn't find any news saying it was over. Wouldn't ALPA put something out saying it was over. Can someone post the news or a link telling us the stike is over.

Scott, why are you so stuck on the ALPA staff strike? There are better things to embarrass ALPA over! Give it up!

And the reason pilots need to go to a p-2-p rep is to keep management shills like you OUT OF THE LOOP!

What was the outcome of the ASA Strike Poll? Yes/No? Pecentages? When was the poll held?

Our MEC has been doing polling of the pilots for the last year or so. According to p2p reps, the most recent strike willingness percentages are in the upper 90 percentile.

Why does Scott Hall sign everything "Captain Scott Hall" when his seniority number places him as an FO on the ATR holding a reserve line.

Even better, next time he's in the crew lounge, ask him to explain to the 500 FOs senior to him why he was allowed to bypass them for upgrade. Then he turns around and flaunts his title to them while asking them to give up on ALPA.

That's a very good point. Maybe we should grieve it to get captain pay for all the FOs senior to him. Does anybody know if he ever actually flies as a captain? If memory serves, I think the ACA MEC won some greivances over similar situations.

Isn't it a good thing that management comes out and flies? Don't we want them to see what things are like on the front lines? I have met Scott several times and am impressed with what I see so far. In fact he can take my trips anytime he wants:pimp:

yeah - every time scott flies the guy he bumps gets to stay home and gets paid - even gets to skip reserve so wtf would you grieve it? so the next time he shows up to fly a trip for you refure you dumbass... he doesnt get paid contract pay so he bypassed noone to upgrade, moron. stfu and worry about something more important...

In a perfect world, with schedules built for our convenience, you would be correct. However since marketing drives the schedules, and we have to compete with other regionals that don't have rigs, it is a cost item. I would be interested to see how ALPA costed out the rigs - I bet they do show a cost for them.

If they aren't a cost item, then why did the United MEC give them up? Are you implying that they gave up a no cost item?
