I release the parking brake as soon as the door closes every time - but while keeping my feet firmly on the toe brakes. I have not had an airplane move even slightly when doing this. As an FO, I would get extremely frustrated when the captain would just sit there as the rampers slowly dragged their lazy a$$es to attention - all the while eating into my block time. FOs get paid little enough - don't screw them even more!

I completely agree and do the same, and felt the same as an FO.
