You'll have to excuse my friend here, he's a little slow.

I didn't know when he retired and only heard about him going to CitationShares when I was talking about bailout behind his back.

GR is gone?!?! Bummer, what a nice guy. A bit windy on the PA, but a great example of how to treat people you work with and work around. Very pleasant guy. I didnt think he was serious about going to CS!

Agreed. GR is a real loss. I watched him make up for quite a bit of ASA-induced ill will with his PAs and passenger attention. I know lots of guys who thought he was over the top, etc etc etc, but think of all the "bad" his PA's undid over the years. Not to mention, on a personal level, he's a helluva guy. I'll miss him.

Over the top no, all around great person, yes. That's someone that any airl carrier will be lucky to have.

I'll remember that next time I'm 'camping out' or sharing one room for a whole crew, having 8 days off/mo. and accepting the lowest wages in the industry to undercut the rest of the industry to win more flying! Oh, wait...ASA doesnt do any of that! Nevermind. How'd your last contract go....oh yea, you rolled over for JO right away. Excuse us for holding out and fighting for what we are worth. Lets talk low time pilots....oh yea, most of Mesa's pilots are 300 hour Mesa grads, hmmm. Nice try.

You don't know anything about how or what we were dealing with on our last contract.

You don't know anything about how or what we were dealing with on our last contract.

But it is public knowledge that MESA only gets paid for actual time, whereas most others (if not all) get paid block or better, regardless of actual time.........idiot.

Why would you agree to do that???????

You don't know anything about how or what we were dealing with on our last contract.

And I'll say the same of you on this one for us.....so don't knock our group for our contract, which at 8 years old is still a hell of a lot better than yours!

Let me echo what a few others have already said.

DON'T pick up open time. Try and see past the extra few bucks and realize that all you are doing by picking up open time is voluntarily fixing the problems of inept management...again. They created the problem, now let them sweat it out.

"We'd like to welcome aboard all soldiers, seamen, and airmen....."

Holy cow!! I know exactly who that is and I've been on Mil leave for two years and only flew a couple legs with him when he came through DFW one time.

Absolutely

Couldn't agree more. That was a lot of bad, by the way. Here's wishing him the very best in all his endeavors. Truly a class act.

Mesa pilot's cry that JO had them between a rock and a hard spot...which was true. The point that is rarely made is you guys got yourself there through a series of below par contracts, where you have always been at the bottom of the barrel. You got yourselves there through lack of good contractual language in not just the last contract, but those that preceded it. For this reason I have to call BS when you start using the excuse that JO had you in a tough spot. Hopefully you'll do better on the next one.

#1 we don't get actual flight time pay (so much for your public knowledge).
we get segment time, which is the last 6 month average time the trip took.
#2 I was not knocking your contract and fully support your pilot group getting what is fair.
#3 we have not been through a series of contracts, unless you consider contract #2 being a series.
#4 what do you know about the situation the CC Air pilots were in, the start of the original freedom certificate, and what we had to do to solve these problems?

and 4 will be the last one for the next 10 years!
