I guess this is all talk because as soon as Skywest figures out their out to the "no compete" clause with United, we will be outta there.
LAX is in serious staffing trouble. I wonder why. A comparable apartment is double what is in ATL. Anything cheaper and you best become an FFDO so you can at least fire back. Either that or endure a 2 hour drive.
So, when they junior assign LAX does it come from the bottom of the seniority list or the bottom of the 50 list? When will these guys get to come back to ATL? What happens if a newhire gets ATL after you've been jr manned to LAX? Do you get a paid move both ways?
The only solution I see is a new hire class, since they have no say in their first assignment.
I guess this is all talk because as soon as Skywest figures out their out to the "no compete" clause with United, we will be outta there. That might happen sooner than later since I've seen nothing the operation out there from management other than SH Q and A's several months ago.
I actually see LAX working out allot better for ASA than you may think. Don't forget that UAL is the bread and butter for SKW, not DL. UAL/SKW have a major operation on the west coast incl. LAX. JA is not going to do anything to even potentially piss off the UAL side of the house. The only way JA can expand the operation for DL in the west (outside SLC) is through ASA.
Any idea of when DL and Frontier will announce the RFP awards?
