I was gona say.... its a bit early to be drunk posting.... but its 5 o'clock somewhere I guess.

I wonder if there is a source or if this is a result of a martini lunch.

Didn't the judge put an injunction on Mesa using their name?
I read it somewhere today!

Hey ACL, you're spending too much time on the computer today. It's affected your brain. You must want to be the first on FI to break the SLI...relax, take a break and get a beer. AS is ALASKA not Aloha!!! Or, are you just being sarcastic???

Guys, my Mesa/Aloha remark was just a joke. Lighten up.

I agree with ACL, I think this merger thing is not over yet for the airline business, there may be a few more to come in the next year(s).

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised at all. They got rid of the marketing guy.

They brought in the money guy. While I'm a pretty big fan of Tilden, I'm not sure he's the CEO of choice for a long term pick.

He WOULD be the guy to have in place to make the financials work for a sale/merger either AS to DL or someone to AS.

Maybe this thread isn't so stupid anyway.

It's entirely possible that a Delta merger will happen down the road. Does anyone really believe that Richard Anderson came out to Seattle to slap Ol' Bill on the back over a code-share agreement? I think it's Delta's way of ensuring its position in the future and preventing AMR from gaining a foothold on the west coast. Given the choice I'd take Delta in a second over AMR.

Of course I'd rather not merge with anyone.
