New-hires are paid a guarantee of 55 hours. After the first year, the guarantee goes to 60 hours. During new-hire training, pilots are paid $500/week but responsible for own lodging.

Monthly guarantee: Year 1 = 55 hours; Year 2 & 3 = 60 hours; Year 3+ = 65 hours

*55 hours until 1 year of employment completed
Override $10/$6.50/$6.50 (Capt/FO/FE) per hour flown over 70

I am trying to jumpseat to SCL (Santiago, Chile) in Feb. Any arrow guys have the Feb. schedule? I've seen the online jumpseat form just want to get an updated schedule.

dosen't anyone else think that $500 a week and respomsible for own lodging during training is pretty cheap. people still need to provide for family. this is weak. although people are jumping on it. soon we will all be expected to pay to fly.

Obviously you dont know anything about ACMI carriers or the freight outfits out of mia

Having left there in 2002 after 4 years.... better know what you'e getting into and better not be a whiner.

I liked it.

Would like to have stayed.

But, not a place to advance your stature for getting a job elswhere. Meaning upgrades do happen..but not very often. And they are getting the 57's to replace the 8 so not much need other than guys that have the insurance mins for left seat with left seat 57 experience.

Better already have that before you go.

They plan on hiring 40 pilots and to set up a pool. $500(Not perdiem) a week for six weeks during training. Hiring DC-10, DC-8 and 757 First Officer and Captain if you meet the insurance requirements for captain. Plan on purchasing 6 A330's on property sometime next year. One seniority list. They have a union (Teamsters). Best way to get an interview, attend their job fair at aeroservice.

Reserve lines get 10 days off. If you will like to fly 800 hrs or more a year the hour demand is there.

Hi!

$500/week for training is not great, but it's comparable to others in this same category. It's a lot more than the current new-hires at FedEx make, or unemployed pilots make.

MIA job fair breifing:
They will be interviewing soon. They are sure they will hire in the -10s, probably the -8, and maybe the 757s. The bid for the 757 seats are out, and when they see who bids for it, they will know what seats need to be hired into. Hiring PFEs and FOs for sure. They may have to hire off the street Capts because a lot of low-time FOs.

They will probably hire off-the-street for the -8: Current and qualified guys. They will move to another aircraft when the -8 is shut down-some time this year.

The -10s are staying for the foreseeable future.

They are the initial buyer for the -330Fs they are getting.

When you are on reserve/call (all except the most senior guys) you have 30" to answer your phone, and then 1 hour to report after the phone call.

When I turned in my resume, they said they recognized it (I had sent in one or more in the last couple of weeks.). I think the job fairs do help.

Centurion and Miami Air were also there are hiring soon. If you are adventurous, you could check out Dana Air in Nigeria.

The only -121 company there that was hiring was GoJet.
