Furloughs...again

Despite the positive views expressed in this thread, I heard recently from good authority that Arrow was actually going to furlough a bunch of pilots and the COO was sacked.
I hope my source was wrong; went through 2 furloughs (complements of Arrow) myself several years ago.
It would be a decent place to work, if it weren't truly "seasonal". Seasonal, not based on the time of year, but based on aircraft availability, heavy checks, and capriciousness of upper management.
Any one out there who can confirm or deny?

Not the engine

On March 26, 2009, a McDonnell Douglas DC-10 en route Manaus-Bogotá lost an engine whilst flying over Manaus. The engine fell into the town of Manaus damaging 12 houses, the aircraft managed to land safely at El Dorado International Airport, Bogotá, Colombia. No-one was injured or killed in this incident.

It lost the tail cone, not the engine, and there are more furlough notices calling out. How do I know? I got calls asking about jobs.
