Peter Arnett this morning was fired from NBC , he is no longer reporting for NBC, for his interview and comments on iraq TV.

And another poor excuse of a reporter Geraldo Rivera was removed from his front line battle position as a repoter and escorted to Kuwait. (Why you ask?) For giving away their current position and also telling the whole world including the iraqies where they where going next.

Two of the biggest dumb asses in the reporting world.

(Its just what i heard on the TV this morning)

It would be nice if those 2 had to stay in IRAQ! I sure as HE!! don't care to see them here in the states!

New paratrooper

Maybe they should have let Geraldo parachute into Baghdad on a secret mission....with a flourescent green parachute and advance notice to the Iraqis....

Guess Geraldo won't be there to open Saddam's Vault....

Stingray--I don't know about Arnett but I just watched Rivera live on Fox news at 11:35 AM eastern time & he was reporting from 60 miles south of Baghdad. When asked about reports of his removal from Iraq he shrugged his shoulders & replied that it must be a rumor started by NBC.???????????

I was wondering why Fox News wasn't mentioning their own reporter's dilemma after railing Arnett so badly. So I was interested to hear what Geraldo had to say when they went to him live about 30 minutes ago. It wasn't mentioned until the end of the segment when he stated that he hadn't heard a thing about the controversy until he called in for that live shot this morning. He went on to say that MSNBC was so "pathetic" that they had to backstab him to create a story since they were losing the journalism battle in Iraq. Funny stuff.
