ARGUS/Wyvern are as useful as the TSA.

Here's a new one: Company flies an aircraft capable of VNAV approaches. However, the compnay doesn't have the ops spec for such approaches - hence any Non-Prec. approach that has the VNAV option cannot legally be flown VNAV and must be flown VS, level off, VS, level off, etc...yes it's safe, but not the SAFEST considering a SAFER method exists using the VNAV. BUT GUESS WHAT - AR/GUS gives the company a PLATNUM rating despite the fact that it doesn't require that company to UTILIZE the resources it has available to ENHANCE SAFETY, as in this example.

AR/GUS & WYVERN = TOTAL SCAM..

Rant Over.

I couldn't aggree more! Ar/gus and wyvern are basically extorting the industry and pilots. The FAA rules over our tickets and punishments for transgressions right? So how can a warning letter from 10 years ago be used against you by ar/gus when the FAA themselves expunged the record? After many years and many hours a person becomes exposed to odds and the luck of the draw. Some guys can get ramped 10 times in there first 2 years on the job while somebody can go 25 years and not have half that many. What gives ar/gus wyvern greater authority over pilots and their future than the very governing body that gave the privelage in the first place?
Its like a cop giving a 5 mph over ticket and then car and driver magazine is saying your careless and reckless and you cant drive anymore. Think of it this way; imagine a bunch of insurance companies getting together to censure doctors above and beyond what the AMA does. Can you say "class action"
whew!!............. i needed that!

Business Idea!!

We could be like Wyvern/Argus FOR Wyvern/Argus. Its brilliant! We can go in to Wyvern, make sure everything is in order, then walk out with a big check!

Easy like sunday morning!
