Hi!

Yes, NWA has furlough protection:
They are very thinly staffed, their loads are high, and oil is up, which means the paid-for -9s make a lot of money on their routes, especially when compared with the 50 seat RJs.

Bingo!
Airlink 50 seater + Connection 50 seater = 1 DC-9-30 minus 2 CRJ's

Who would have thought that the DC9 would make management want to give scope back.

The older the violin the sweeter the tune.

The DC9 is like a 2 am booty call, it may not be your first choice but it gets the job done.

Oh man here we go again.........

Do you have any clue to the CASM of a "paid for" DC-9 is? When compared to the CASM of a leased Emb-170 or CRJ-900. Let me tell you, the paid for DC-9 is WAY MORE!!!! hello mcfly

2am booty call? Sounds like my SFO layover last night, and a male flight attendant was calling me. Don't get me started... Just because I like to dance I get weird calls. Don't get me started....

Well, sort of...

I'd say it was more like dating that 40 year old that's still a smokin' hottie.

No hassles, knows what she wants but expects some level of competency.

But if you perform, not only is it a fun ride, she cooks you breakfast in the morning.

In the end, you can both walk away with no strings attached, but she has taught you how really treat a lady.

If DAL had any sense, they'd take a DC-9-10 and put one on a stick infront of the HQs in ATL and MSP.

BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I was serving up a tasty quote with the 2 am booty call. You just covered that in gravy and served it with a side of fries.

BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!

CLASSIC!

Let's just say DAL pilots have more furlough protection than NWA pilots. Here's how NWA guys are going to get screwed: Anderson parks the DC-9s and 747s and furloughs off the red tail seniority list. DAL pilots are safe.

NWALPA better pull their heads out and get a SLI agreement BEFORE the first NWA airplane leaves or its NWA pilots that will suffer the furlough axe.

And then you wake up with an itch.

I'd bet it's still cheaper than operating two CRJ200s.
