Heard from the top last week that there are 3 classes in April and 3 classes In may. All are confirmed from the TOP!!!

Or did you mean FedEx?

Anyone remember how many were hired from the Dec interviews? I interviewed on Jan 19, and I was wondering if a June class is too much wishful thinking. I think they only hired 40 or so in the Feburary DB.

I just spoke with the SWA PD today and they confirmed the three classes in May (to me, anyway...I know it's been talked about here already). The person I spoke with also said that I'd definitely be in the 5/18 class, but that there was a distinct possibility that I could be in the 5/11 class also.

I also asked how many from my interview date (12/14) got hired and I was told that a total of 5 of us made it, but that I'd be first to go to class from that date since I'd had the type longest.

They also confirmed the resumption of interviews starting in May.

Awesome! Can't wait for the Big D!!

Thanks for the info Barney! Keep us updated on your classdate, How many got hire from the December DB? Along with Capt. Underpants I'm keeping a close running total.

Sweet...I'm sure I had the longest running type in my interview group. 2 1/2 years. Well, at least, from those that got hired.

The ink on my type will have had a whole three years to dry by the time I get to class next month.

When I actually get the call with a definite date, I'll let you all know.

Here comes the 2007 hiring boom, it is on its way

All kidding aside, congrats FBJ. You will not be disappointed. I wish I had info to offer but you poolies are more plugged in than I am. You will likely get MDW a couple of months after you complete training.

2006 looks pretty good. SWA hiring 400-500, Airtran hiring for the 737, JetBlue hiring for the E-190. Rumor has it Alaska, Continental and many of the cargo guys are hiring too. The big retirements are here. It gets good when more than 2 or 3 carriers are hiring at once. The trend really feeds on itself and a lot can happen quickly.

The only bad part (for furloughees) is the reduction of airplanes for the big three.

Put your apps in now!

Boeing,

Thanks for the congrats, but above all, thanks for changing your avatar from that freaky green guy! :)

Class Date

GC,

Congrats on the class date. And congrats to all those going to SWA, AirTran, JB.......

Thinking back, the ink on my type had 2 yrs. 5 mos. to dry before I had a class! And that's going back to the early '90s. See, things aren't so bad.

regards,

Juan

Spoke with SWA PD the other day. They said that the calls for the 4 May class will be going out until this Friday. Then the phone calls for the 11 May class will be going out next week. IMHO I think most of the 9 Dec interview folks will be starting 11 May (just a timeframe for everyone...). Counting the days...!!!

Got a call today for the May 4th class...that's makes at least two of us from the 12/7 interview group...hope that helps somebody!

Congrats to all getting the call for the next set of classes. Now your stresses change a bit. You need to woryy about who among you will be carrying the cane and who the pacifier? How will you handle that first shot of Herb's highly-regarded Wild Turkey at your New-Hire party? Can you juggle Memory Items, Flows, Shiner Bock and the inevitable OPC training with all-day Ray? Which bag to choose for pubs and which for your suitcase...the stresses are far reaching and almost insurmountable!!!

Guess you'll have to just sit back and enjoy the ride and make it up as you go...worked for the rest of us. Congrats again...

1) I probably won't get the cane. In fact, I'll probably be on the other end. I turn 32 on June 6.

2) I'll go "AHHHHHHHH!!! THAT STUFF SUCKS!!!" after knocking back my third shot.

3) Probably not, but I'll try my hardest!

Thanks for the congrats, YOP!

Do you guys call the PD often? I'm afraid to call and be pushy. Kim said there would be little contact after the drug test. The only info I get is from friends at SW and here.

I got the call for the May 11th class too (Dec 9 interview)! See y'all in Dallas!!

I only called Kim U. about once a month or so... she never seemed bothered by my questions and was always very helpful.

Hey Guys I will also be in the May 11th class! (punching the liver right now to get it in shape)

I missed the pacifier by 1, Im 29 and a guy in my interview group (Dec 9) is 28. I was getting ready to stand on the table and tell everyone to bring it on and try to take it ( just kidding )

I cant wait to get to DAL and see everyone. We will have a blast.

See yall there!
