I'm a very low time pilot, and do not even have 500/100PIC Multi, but would it be bad to submit an application/create a profile, just to have your name on file at various companies?

Is it frowned upon, would it create useless clutter?

Just asking, don't shoot, please :D

I don't think that anyone on these message boards can give you a very good answer for that since most are only line pilots.

However, I do know that if you keep bugging a company, that it often works. You probably won't get any bites because there is nothing spectacular about your times. If you had 500tt and 300multi then you might hear back from someone.

I would say that if there is nothing that stands out in your resume, and you expect there to be nothing that stands out (aka 1000tt 150multi CFI...) then go ahead and start bugging them. Maybe when you meet times they like they'll see your next resume and say "hey! metro finally has his time let's give him an interview"

however, i've never hired somebody either

You stated in another thread that you are not even a pilot.

If you submit it by yourself it will probably reach the circular file. You need a reputable source that can account for the risk of hiring you below minimums. In other words someone is going to have to fly with you at the company and then walk your resume in.

Don't apply until you meet minimums. If you do, it shows that you cannot follow simple instructions or that you haven't done your research on the company to know their qualificiations.
